Report: Lakers teammates became distrustful of LeBron James over Anthony Davis trade talks

Quote:
The Lakers’ reported trade talks loomed over the team roster. Virtually every member of the young core had been linked to a trade for Davis, as had veterans Rondo and Beasley.

Per the report, this is when players began to distrust James.

A schism developed in the locker room. Sources around the team said it was apparent that the young players no longer trusted James, believing he was operating behind the scenes to get them traded to New Orleans.

The Lakers ended the February trade deadline with their young core intact.

The report goes on to describe a tentative deal the Lakers had in place to acquire forward Jabari Parker as well as how president of basketball operations Magic Johnson is seen as an “absentee executive.”

Yes trade the young talent for a Lerbron
Who still gets numbers but has NOWHERE near the impact. What happened at the deadline was a slithery snake like Kobe whether done by Magic or LeBron. Either way, it happened and we’re past It.

Trust him for what?

What does that even mean?

He makes all the passes he should be making, some guys need to look in the mirror before running that loser mentality crap.

If this is even true. Let’s not forget that he and Kuz - for example - have become fashion BFFs in the last few weeks literally dressing alike like a literally dressing alike LOL

Johnny Flores. He is a student, trying to get attention. How old is he, 18. Also, are you a man or a mouse.
If i heard my name in trade talks, i would start playing balls out, and showing them i can play. Why shrivel up like a pu**y

Can’t blame them. He made himself look like big brother to the media while trying to get them all traded.

His mafioso-like crew too. Too much drama in LA, not enough focus on basketball. I mean where’s our free throw coach again??

Yea sure. The only superstar we have. That is smart.

Lebron was the only one negotiating and making the trade talks public.

Keeping a superstar that repels free agents, kills chemistry and doesn’t give his all is smart.

This was obvious just by looking at their body language from game to game. Rondo's play changed drastically. He went from giving some amount of effort to no effort at all on defense.

The next person in charge has to separate the church from the state, and be strict about it. In other words, Lebron and his group should have no control over the organization and the moves they make.

What superstars are being deterred? Thompson wants to stay in GS. Durant is a bandwagoner ring chaser with burner accounts. He will not stay in GS cus Draymond made him cry.

We need men. Quit listening to the media. Lebron was hurt. He still played better than 80% of the league. So you understand, those kind of players do not come along that often.

Or trade Lebron?

Why trade the future just to please a 34 year old Lebron?

The idea that all grown men on a team have to "trust" each other in order for a team to be successful is about as relevant as the fax machine.

um happens pretty much on every team where there's a vet superstar and a bunch of underdeveloped kids. they almost always want to move the kids for another vet or another already made superstar so they can win RIGHT NOW. you're not safe as a kid in the nba until you become a star.

remember, shaq wanted to get rid of kobe for the same reason. kobe wanted to get rid of bynum for the same reason. kobe and bynum turned out to be heck of players. but you had to wait for them to become that. some players are not worth the wait, some are.
