backstabbing "AROUND the organization" ...

Rich Paul?

Luke?

Pelinka?

My money is the whole AD trade leak thing came from Paul and Magic ended up looking bad for it. Now more stories are being leaked about trades (KCP) and he's over it.

Pelinka definitely tops the list. Magic didn't even mention him when he was talking about people he liked working with in the organization.

Btw, nobody give a (bleep) about the actual games at this point, Lakers are always on top when it comes to news.

Shouldn’t have even brought it up. Just add more fuel to the media fire.

That title seems wrong.
Magic said "around" making it seem like it wasn't JB

Magic is in the rear view mirror. The real question is, who's up next?

Exactly. I love Magic the player but I absolute hate the FO version of him. Definitely feels like he's trying to get ahead of everything and put his charm/"good guy", loves to help everyone around the league, etc before the real (bleep) comes out.

I hope if there is anything, it's RP to blame and not Magic. He's gotten so much (bleep) this year that it's ruining his reputation as a player.

Why even throw it out there and expect people not to ask about it?

Thats Magic being dumb for you.

He’s most likely referring to LeBron’s camp aka RP/Klutch

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I doubt it’s Rich Paul. He brought them in. He knew what he was getting into when you sign a player like Lebron. Most likely Rob Palinka

One thing about that point... he seemed to make an effort in his goodbye speech to state that Rob was new to him and they had no relationship before this.

Magic specified during the press conference he was referring to backstabbing around the league, not within the Lakers organization.

Everyone in this team was leaking stuff to the press.

Jeanie
Magic/Pelinka
Lebron/Klutch
Luke/staff
The players who rolled their eyes at Magic and lost trust in LeBron

Magic leaving is huge, but all we're doing is throwing out the spoiled food when we need to spray for roaches.

There’s probably no one that did more backstabbing than magic. Let’s be real, this guy cannot keep his mouth shut, he probably leaked a thousand stories to his reporter buddies.

That's Magic. Great player but otherwise a self-absorbed jerk. He is lazy. Always throwing people under the bus. Big smile on his face as he schemes to screw people over.

I guess Rob wanted to save his reputation putting the blame on Magic for dumb trades like Zubac, AD saga. Probably creating a narrative that he had no say in things.
