The Thunder led by 15 with 7:45 left, then by 10 with 5:31 left, then by 8 with 3:55 left. They were holding on but doing enough. The Blazers funneled to Westbrook, trying to put the game in his hands. Over the final four minutes, the Thunder scored two points -- a George elbow jumper to retake the lead with 39.4 seconds left. Westbrook missed two shots, was called for a charge on what would've been a miraculous and-1 and committed a foul going for an offensive rebound that gave Portland two critical free throws. George missed a pair of free throws and had a turnover in traffic.
B) That 3% percentage is artificially low because of all the bad desperation shots he had to jack up plus his abysmal last two seasons. Kobe wasn't Ray Allen but it's not like he was a bad three point shooter. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Thunder's Paul George on defending deep game-winner by Blazers' Damian Lillard: "That's a bad shot. I don't care what anybody says. That's a bad shot. But, hey, he made it. That story won't be told, that it's a bad shot. You live with that."
Teammate of Westbrick says that, Oh the irony
Thing is, while I have not watched alot of Portland basketball I have seen Lillard hit that shot from that spot on the floor v the Lakers on more than one occasion. It's not a fluke. The guy has that kind of range. Perhaps PG13 needs to review scouting reports on the guy he guards once in awhile, especially when making the $$ he does.
Yeah, it's the same people who say Kobe or Steph take bad shots because they look insanely difficult. It's a bad shot for anyone else, not for someone who practices that shot thousands of times and can hit it at a decent clip.
Steph's TS% the last two years 67.5% and 64.1%
Dame's TS% the last two years 59.4% and 58.8%
When Dame wins 3 titles and 2 MVPs maybe we can call him the best point guard.
I think he can eventually become the best PG... but Kyrie also has a claim on that as well.
He is the best, right now. Not over the course of the season or in the league because the sample size is small. But right now there's not another PG - or player - that's playing better than he is.

Just putting a positive spin, believing Lonzo will improve. He ain't Kobe for sure, nobody is

I love Dame's play... but why should Steph be penalized for playing on a better team?
And aren't you forgetting Harden's historic season as well?

No one is. We're talking about the playoffs, right now. Which admittedly is an extremely small sample size. To surpass Curry as best in the league he needs to keep this high level of play for a longer amount of time than a few weeks.
I never penalized Curry for being on a better team, this doesn't have anything to do with that. But since you brought it up, having Klay and KD next to you makes the defense think twice about doubling you or even putting their best defender on you.

If you want to say Dame was the best PG last night... sure, I agree with you.
Remember that Steph shot 67% TS% before they got KD... and CJ's not that much worse than Klay... so my comments are more an appreciation of Steph than a diss of Dame.
If we are trading the team... I'd much rather trade for Steph or Dame than AD myself.
Lots of Dame love in here.
Am I the only one that can't stand the guy?
Curious, what's your reason? Compared to Westbrook and even PG, there's a ton to like about Dame. Doesn't initiate trash talk, isn't soft, fearless and a big time gamer.
