There is a reason lou has never been signed longer than a few years.

Also we needed to Tank so he had to go.

You dudes fall in love with every X laker that has a good game.

This is such revisionist history. The guy was an above average player and turned into an all-star caliber guy at age 31. Please.

You damn right it’s revisionist history. That’s the job of a GM and POBO to have long term vision. If your just thinking about today why the F do you need those positions. Just ask the coach what to do? You don’t pay expensive managers for making moves that make sense in the moment but for years to come.

On paper, they look like the team. They were dominant this year. But I don't trust their talent level. Middleton is their 2nd best player? Bledsoe? That just feels weak for a title team.

I tend to agree with you, but I don't see who the Warriors can throw at Giannis.

No he wasn't.

He had an extra year.

I stand corrected.

However, I do think that trading him during that season was the correct move.

It probably was the right move if we stayed in full rebuild mode, but changing directions midstream into sort of win now mode makes that decision look questionable.

As long as neither one of those teams wins the chip, it's all good lol.

That would be cool. Can't wait to see the Bucks destroy Boston.

You wonder what two stars with no bench looks like?

This is what three stars and a former DPOY looks like with no bench.

Keep that in mind when you want to trade everything to have AD/LBJ.

Kobe and Pau still had Odom and Bynum.

Are you forgetting that we were biting our nails on whether or not we keep our lotto pick? Trading Lou accomplished two things: A.) 1st rd pick which netted Josh Hart or Kyle Kuzma depending on how you interpret the D'LO trade. B.) Make sure we lose enough games to get as many ping pong balls as possible.

I don't care how good Lou Wiliiams is doing now with the Clippers. He's 33 or turning 33 this year. It was one of the few RIGHT moves Maginka accomplished.

the Great Heist was arguably the most lopsided trade we've ever made. Got rid of DLo and Mosgov, and took back arguably the best center in the game in Lopez and a first round pick? Yes please. Lou is pretty good but not a franchise changer. I think DLo is awful though so I like that trade even more than most.

I give Magic a pass on that, supposedly Mitch negotiated that trade because Lou didn’t want to tank and the Lakers wanted to treat him right.

Terrible news. If clippers are able to compete with Warriors and force a game 6, Leonard will surely believe that the clippers can make it to the finals with him on the team....especially if KD leaves this summer. We need GSW to win game 6

It could get worse, Gallo is showing out well in this series, he might be easy to move, opening up another max spot. If we strike out I would take a healthy Gallo next to Lebron. Doc challenged him to defend this season and he responded well.

Clippers showing a lot of heart, I give them credit.

That said, I have already stated I don't think Golden State wins it this year.

worst case scenario is the Clippers sign Kawhi and another max player, the Lakers can't even get a meeting with the top FA, and in their panic to get a big name, give Boogie a max deal.
