People worry too much about the coach.

In the NBA the best roster wins the title, usually.

How do you explain Lakers before Phil and after?

There is no point in rushing the HC decision.

I hope we are looking at Dave Joerger and Hammon.

Does anyone here know how good Monty is? What's has his role as assistant been? I'm open to getting some new faces interviewed. Monty sounds like a sexy name but I want to know more about what he's done and known for as a coach.

With Lue you have a coach that has had championship success with Lebron and has demonstrated the ability to go at Bron telling him to STFU when needed.

I hate the idea that this storied franchise has capitulated its entire direction around the close of LeBron James's career. And its no disrespect to James, but this is exactly what people considered worst case scenario when we got LeBron James-- that we would sell out to win "one more" for LeBron as he enters his late 30s. If we were a team like the Cavs or the Magic, I would understand that, but the standard has always been championships here. I pray that the new regime, whoever it is, puts the longterm prosperity of this franchise above the immediate desires of LeBron James, as great as he is.

So you're saying the standard for us is winning championships...and criticizing us for trying to win championships

Hmm... Lue won a ring versus the analytics darlings Warriors, with their genius head coach. I see a trend with your head coach choices. Members only I guess.

Like Messina will ever tell Lebron, “Shut the (bleep) up. I got this.” Messina will erase his clipboard like Blatt did and ask Lebron what he wants. Ha. Messina.

Darvin Ham is probably the only sensible "outside of the box" candidate, and even then I'd probably go with the known known in Lue. Yelling at Lebron for his (bleep) defense is 90% of this gig.

Monty and Lue are exactly the type of hires we should expect from this FO.

Not their fault Ben Simmons doesn't fit at all with the big three, and that Embiid is playing hurt. Monty can't make the call to start McConnell over Simmons, but they need to ASAP.

If we hire Lue, LeBron is the actual coach, I'll PASS.

We need a coach that could actually call the shots, not
a puppet.
