The dramatic fall from being THE model for success to its current status is painful

Why would anybody want to be the HC with a President of Basketball in place and an inexperienced and probably a short-tenured GM (Pelinka) making decisions

Tragically Magic’s departure has a similar ring to his time as the HC with results like his TV show. Given this dramatic change, could an arranged “buyout” of LeBron be the next dramatic and shocking shoe to drop?

Magic thought that his tenure with the Lakers would be the same as his participation with the Dodgers? Could not Magic just transition to a role of a Consultant like Jerry West?

Luke made the smart and only move for his career

Since a seasoned coach and experienced HC required - could the names of Jeff Van Gundry, Mark Jackson, Brian Shaw and other similar names be added in the search. Wouldn’t it be great if Kobe was a consultant, along with Kareem!

Jeanie is renown for her business acumen yet made an emotional and subjective decision to hire Magic without having backup plans - noting his past history and just plain good business sense.

If her friggen' brother was the problem, it was chicken-S of her to fire Mitch, he was better than Magic and Plenka!

The Lakers look as green as a cucumber.
Pelinka has had zero experience as a GM.

The Lakers need to hire someone with experience ASAP.

It seems like the roles of the Clippers and Lakers are reversed. The Lakers are the 6 year lottery tanking team. And there is no Sterling on the Clippers to save their asx.

The Lakers need to hire someone with experience ASAP. Before the ship goes under more.

This organization is completely inept. The Buss family should sell the team for the good of the city and the team.

Rob Pelinka, Linda Rambis, Jeannie Buss...I wouldnt hire a single one of them to run my business. Completely and utterly unqualified. This train wreck of an organization can only accomplish one thing: convert more people in LA to clipper fans.

Only Jerry West MIGHT have been able to reverse this. Now we are left with amateur hour/years of horrible decision making.

They were on the road to getting back until they dumped DLO, and the wheels have fallen off ever since. Oh yeah, they signed LJ in the twilight of his career. Congrats, and now they are finding out no one wants to play with him!!!

DLo move was a good move to get rid of a bad contract and to let Lonzo have free rein, plus DLo needed to be out of the glare of LaLa Land.

LBJ is still producing great numbers and one of the best players in the game.

Jeanie needs to find the right people to hire. Funny that Magic left a good friend in an awkward situation like the role of President was just a celebratory position with no hard work required - like what he has with the Dodgers.

As an article stated, Magic is a billionaire and doesn’t need the $10M a year salary, especially if he can’t be himself and talk freely. Maybe they will look closely at Williams who has FO and HC qualifications of the highest order to come in
