I'd bet 100% are drug related, even the kid walking on the freeway, struck by a car.

There is a recent (like last day or so) podcast about how Fentanyl is killing more people in America right now than Heroin, Crack, Cocaine, ever have. Apparently just about every drug is now being cut with Fentanyl and since there is no control over the dosage people are dying like never before.

Some of the deaths were suicide though.

Cornell had a bunch of suicides over time. The abundance of bridges in the area made jumping a frequent method. When one suicide happens it can trigger other depressed/despondent people to follow suit, kids that had probably already pondered, planned, or had ideations of suicide that they had been hiding from family/friends. When they hear of another kid who did it, it can bring their demons up to the surface and evoke a sense of jealousy that said kid was able to go thru with it while they're still slogging thru life.

When I was in college there was a couple of kids that took their own life as well. Mental health is something that needs to be treated and pretty much everyone will suffer at some point in their life.
