Interesting. Brandon Sanderson wrote some "teen" novels that had a similar premise and I thought it was really uniquie. I didn't realize there was already a comic that was so similar.

Anyways on your rec, I knew I'd enjoy the show. Just saw episode 1 and it didn't disappoint my friend.

Thank you glad you enjoy the show and appreciate the heads up on Brandon Sanderson with The Reckoners, looks I missed out on an entire genre. It does appear to be similar in premise to the Epics, when absolute power corrupts absolutely; though there are actual consequences for Steelheart.
We'll see about if anything happens to Homeland.

Heard they are still in planning stages for a television show as well, likely if it does happen, Fox (now Disney owns the rights) could put it on the new Disney streaming service.

This show is so good. Really glad it's on Amazon Prime instead of Seth Rogen's last show the Preacher. They're able to REALLY let loose.

Really? Preacher has had some pretty shocking and disgusting moments in its three seasons. I read about the scene Amazon forced Seth to cut from The Boys and I can't say I'm disappointed it was cut.

Upon further review, Seth said that the most push back from AMC was on the depiction of Tom Cruise in Season 1 pilot ep, but it still aired. Of all of the disturbing moments, it seems AMC only had issues they got a call from Tom's reps.

Concur on the Amazon cut, won't miss that scene at all.

Began watching "The Sinner," starring Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman. Decent. It's a murder mystery.

It's on Netflix.

Season 1 with Biel & Pullman and Season 2 with Carrie Coon & Pullman are both excellent. Matt Bomer & Chris Messina have been announced as joining Pullman for Season 3.

a good time to watch Jett would be right before Season 2 comes out....because Season 1 ends very unfinished.

I'm already on episode 7. It's too late for me. No way I'm stopping now.

Season 2 of The Terror premiered last night on AMC. I know the first season got mixed reviews, but I enjoyed it. Season 2 looks like it has the potential to be better.

I'm into Jett. Won't drop spoilers but you just don't know who'll make the next episode.

I'm a fan of The Young and the Restless. Got hooked about 17 years ago. Watching an episode I was surprised to see how much weight Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) has gained. No way she gets into Daisy Dukes (the shorts) anymore.

We need a soap opera thread

Finished the first season. It was pretty good, though I think they overdid a bit with the twists.

I'll keep watching.

I swear. You and I watch all the same shows. It's crazy.

Angela put on Smurfs pink/red coat. That was the same coat Smurf wore when she made Jay promise back in Season 2 Episode 3. If you have the episode it's 29 minutes in.

I think it was a hint to viewers for what was gonna happen to Smurf. Could also be symbolic. She's trying to fill Smurf's role in the family. Be the new Smurf. She did cook something for Pope before the heist. And cooking has always been Smurf's thing as well. And when Smurf tossed out her food, she was rejecting Angela as a whole.

Mindhunter season 2 is out. And it's en fuego. Just as addicting and engaging as season 1.
