Headline: Artest returns to LA, but as the King…

With all the trade deadline hype, nobody is talking about the one big trade (Artest) that slipped through the Lakers fingers. Tonight is the first night to evaluate the Laker’s decision to NOT pull the trigger on the Ron Artest trade.

Does Artest make the Kings a stronger divisional foe?
Does Artest shut down Kobe Bryant?
Does Odom shut down Artest?
Are the Lakers a better team without Artest?
Are the Lakers a better team with Odom or Bynum?

So many questions…

But there is no bigger question than… How will the Laker fans respond if the Lakers do NOT make a blockbuster trade today and then lose to Ron Artest’s Sacramento Kings tonight?

Better yet… Will TJ Simers be sitting on the edge of his seat during Phil Jackson's post-game press conference and how will Steve Hartman respond the following day?!?!

It could get juicy!

Yes, until his next suspension.

No

Does Odom shut down Artest?

No. The challenge is always on Artest to make it to the end of a game without being thrown off the court. Noone shuts him down but himself. Too his credit, he's pretty good at shutting himself down.

YES. Lakers are definitely better of with the maintainance of their sanity. Nice to be drama free for a change.

Yes. Bynum is a huge part of the Lakers future and Odom, while inconsistent, is stiil a good piece to the puzzle.

Wow! Interesting stat from ESPN radio. Kings are holding teams to an average 92 pts per game since Artest joined the team!

Tonight's game is going to be gooooooodddddd...
