Eric, great article! Question: How do you think the Lakers will go about creating that max slot? As it stands, we are about 1.5 million short (If the Lakers renounce everybody except Bullock and his 4.75 million cap hold). Would the Lakers be better off trading lets say Josh Hart to New Orleans for the Mirotic trade exception and a future 2nd round pick? Lakers could then do the following:

1. Draft Day
-Draft Tyler Herro with #11

2. Free Agency
-Sign Kyrie to max contract
-Sign Bullock for 4 years/ 40 million

3. Trade
-Trade Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Wagner, Bonga and Herro to New Orleans for Davis

4. More Free Agency
-Sign Dewayne Dedmon with room exception
-Sign Caruso/Williams
-Sign ring chasers to fill out roster

Starting 5

PF-Davis
SF-James
C-Dedmon
PG-Irving
SG-Bullock

Does this make sense?

No because we aren't getting Davis via trade.

Talk about wasting that 11th pick and 40m on Bullock

What a joke, when Kyrie sees how the Lakers failed to hire Lue, I doubt he signs here...

Nice work Jeannie..!

Who the hell wants Kyrie?!? What this team does not need is another diva. My god, the idea that this is a good move is like cheering for Rondo being a Laker.

This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats.
