Lakers crowds can get rowdy if there is actually something to cheer about I was there for Kobe's last game and that atmosphere was electric |
Lol yeah one electric game in the last 7 years |

If you have ever been to Staples to watch games, there are many people in the stands there on corporate comp tickets. There is a good percentage of people there that don't even know all the rules nor all the players. You can forget about any knowledge of Laker history. They are on their phones and looking in the stands to spot celebrities.
Not all fans at Staples fit that bill, of course. But those dips**ts outnumber the crazy fans.
If Staples was filled with people with LG accounts that place would be a category five riot when it comes to noise.
The Lakers are a corporate brand. It's the way of things. It's a side effect of winning and tradition. |

So the question is... how do you bring LA Live into staples during game time? You see it at Toronto’s Jurassic Park... it’s context the corporate seat fillers need... because you got to shame them into feeling left out of an event they’re already at;the problem to be solved is how do you populate Star Plaza during the game? Do you put up free seating to the public, do you hire more security outside to keep the peace? There’s a solution here, but it will require some innovation and mass appeal. _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL |

They already have the video boards just play the games there and make it an event

get rid of everything leftover from the 80's:
Lawrence Tanter
Lisa Estrada led Laker girl group
lights out theme
getting rid of those would be a start |

Not for me keep them, except the Laker girls don’t seem to actually lift up the crowd as much as the hype music does when they’re cheering. I wouldn’t get rid of the dancers as it is entertainment though. |

Fans that post here are not what the Lakers cater to, as previously stated in the thread they will always cater to the Hollywood crowd and the corporate people that attend the games
I just dont see that changing anytime soon |
