The Magic situation has lowered the Lakers on everyone's list. That's common sense. That being said Windhorst doesn't know as much as he pretends to know and his statement about the Knicks being able to put together a better package for AD than the Lakers should tell you all you need to know about his credibility. |

Well, if it keeps Kyrie away, at least something good came of it. |

O cmon, he comes with baggage, but besides Kawhi, who would you rather sign? |

Why do people believe that Windbag or any reporter has any access to the day in and day out thinking of any player! This is comical! Just throwing $hit to the wall. |

Wishful thinking-wise or realistically? If it's wishful thinking, I'll take KD . _________________ KOBE |

Realistic...
So that means no KD, no Klay
Kawhi is best bet
Then Kyrie
Then Butler/Kemba
I wouldn't want to max Harris or Middleton, but for 25M and a 2nd valuable player, not awful. But I wouldn't sign one of these guys unless we are also trading for AD. If we strike out this badly, would just sign one years again (but better fits) and wait to sign AD (unless he is moved to NY, I couls see him staying) |

I think we can put 100% of the blame on Magic if we don't sign a big free agent this off season. |

I'd take Kemba over Kyrie 10 days a week. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

I’m pretty sure Magic hurt his credibility more then he hurt the Lakers chances at getting a FA.. Windhorst doesn’t know crap.

Did Windhorst have a falling out with LB. in Cleveland, he would jock anything Lebron. Now he seems like Debbie Downer. |

Klutch/Rich Paul doesn’t want Windy having connections with LeBron so I’m guessing that’s why he’s bitter. |

Yes they cut him off a long time ago. Probably once LeBron went to Miami |

"He and I have a professional relationship and he knows my family members and I know his. But he gets mad at me from time to time and currently I think members of his inner circle are mad at me for writing a story back in Feb. on this website about how the Cavs are catering to them. So it isn't all peaches and cream."
This was in 2006 I believe. |

Lebron’s camp also didn’t like his book.
LeBron, Inc.: The Making of a Billion-Dollar Athlete by Brian Windhorst.
Brian has always shared news more from the Cavs side so it often didn’t paint LBJ in a good light. For this, his camp doesn’t like him. He sensationalizes things or the media just runs with it because well, Lebron is one of the biggest stories in all of sports. You see this happen with our Lakers. Brian is often in the know as he’s connected in the industry, I just don’t believe it’s from Lebron’s camp. I’m sure the Cavs/Dan Gilbert has feed him information as he is supposedly close to them/him.
One thing for certain, he has certainly made a career out of it and is decently successful. |

Really? You haven't taken a look at the rest of the FO? You think we're in this mess because of Magic? Really? Really really? _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Didn't Windhorst also say Kyrie was definitively not coming? Now we're lower on his list? If he 100% wasn't coming how were we still on his list |

That was SAS who said Kyrie was 95% going to NY.
Windhorst has always been on the Kyrie going to the Lakers train, except after Magic's segment. _________________ |

SAS: "Kobe has been talking to Kyrie Irving joining the Lakers"
http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=26801179
Quote: | "Yes, I heard KD's coming to NY and Kyrie would join him. I've always been on record stating nothing's been definitive, they can change their mind. You know what else I've been hearing? Kobe's been talking to Kyrie. Obviously you know Kyrie and Kobe are very close. Kobe's been talking to Kyrie. We don't know whether or not Kyrie would consider the Lakers, although I've been told by folks close to Kyrie that no way in hell he's going to the Lakers to join LeBron, but I'm being told don't rule that out."
"Who do you think free agents will call when it comes to coming to the Lakers? Jeanie? Pelinka? Kurt or Linda Rambis? Phil Jackson? Who do you think they gonna call? Think they'll call Kobe? Kyrie will. Kyrie will call Kobe. That's his man! He's like a big brother to him. Kyrie will call Kobe. They've been calling each other. I believe what I heard." |
