I can recall only 2 great Laker coaches, what list are you referring to? |
Who was the Lakers coach during the 1940’s/1950’s/1970s cause we had tremendously success during those eras. |

Just found this interesting.
Both Frank Vogel and Brad Stevens became NBA head coach at the age of 37. Vogel coached Indiana through his age 42 season (6 years) while Stevens just completed his age 42 season. Here are their records in the span of time:
Regular Season
Brad Stevens 270-222 (55%)
Frank Vogel 250-181 (58%)
Playoffs
Brad Stevens 27-29 (48%)
Fank Vogel 31-30 (51%)
Vogel has since coached two lackluster seasons in Orlando, though it is fair to point out the roster construction was as bad or worse than what Earvin put together this last season. This isn't necessarily a barometer of Vogul as a good coach or not. Just a sense of how brand perception can impact things in a number of ways. |

lol he showed a passion for taking a short deal and letting Linda Rambis pick his staff. |
Why don’t you go cry us a river. To think, they could have had you as GM and allowed you to get your truly great staff together and they missed out .🙄 |

That would have been great! First order of business would be to hire professionals and let them do the work. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Why would Paul take that to the commissioner? Pretty idiotic thing to do. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Referring to Silver?
I mean, it was leaked.
Silver was asked about it.
Should he have lied? |

The fact that Silver feels comfortable enough to talk to an agent about something like that tells me a lot about Silver tbh. He’s shady AF |

Rich Paul and LBJ wanted Luke gone very early last year. The fact that the Lakers kept Luke the year out, despite all the losses piling up, says a lot about them as an organization. They did not just up end and fire him because LBJ wanted it. They gave him a shot, although flawed because Magic was never really sold on him as a head coach.
I'm just surprised, that all the backlash of this is going on the Lakers, and none on Rich Paul and LBJ. You pretty much have confirmation on why the Lakers HAD to make this move, and yet the perception is that the Lakers did the wrong thing. They absolutely made the right call. Luke had no idea how to deal with Lebron, he was accustomed to coaching players like Curry/Iggy. He was good for a young re-building team. Once Lebron came into play, Luke was not the right fit. So either we needed to trade Lebron, or we needed to change coaches.
I actually am even more happy now that we end up with Vogel over Lue. Lue was too much like Lebron's puppet. Lue's schemes and coaching style were figured out easily the second and third time he played State. He didn't make any adjustments from year 2 to year 3 vs State. I don't know if Frank will be better in this regard, but Lue's stuff was figured out, and his game plan around Lebron was very evident. |

I wanted Vogel the year we hired Luke but I was also happy with Luke at the time. Wolf I wasn’t against bringing Lue in but I He was good to have while Lebron is here. I also understand Lues stance on he 5 years. I’m hoping the best for Vogel. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

I love the 5 out offensive system. It's the most fun to watch, so I'm pretty excited to see it next year. Our younger players are going to have to shoot better for it to be effective but the system itself will help them.
It will take major buy in but its perfect for LBJ |

Who else do we need on staff? We already have: Jason Kidd, Kurt Rambis, Linda Rambis, and Phil Jackson as consultant |

If only we could've kept Murmuys. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I actually thought Jesse had some pretty good philosophies. He was also a pretty good defensive coach. Iirc, it was Jesse who implemented the defense that caused the Warriors so much struggles on Christmas Day. |
