3 huge clutch defensive plays in a row in the final minute!

- forced Bagdanovic to turn ball over

- caused Hield to shoot an airball

- blocked Barnes to win the game

Agreed, his offense worries me a little. Too many jumpers, please don’t be Chris bosh because he is a better shooter.
AD needs to go back to the post and do his thing

Disappointing offensive effort perhaps from the injuries but DPOY leader at the moment so clutch thus far.

I think it will only get better but the games he's been dominant while scoring big numbers, it's happened by just abusing guys down low and then building outwards off that. Once that happens, it changes the entire geometry of the game and defenses are scrambling to figure out what the f to do.

It's obvious he's in pain. He shows no joy at all. Even the game winning block didn't cheer him up. Great job though.

If AD and LeBron keep up this defensive effort, the Lakers are a team no one wants to play.

AD made three game winning plays on D in the last minute and you have LeBron coming up with clean steals off opposing in bound plays in the clutch.

Really great to see, this is winning Lakers basketball.

Idk if this is an indictment on me, but I’ve been pretty disappointed with AD on the offensive side of the ball. He’s not really the player I thought he was. A lot of this obviously changes If his jumper ever starts to fall, but at this point I think he is what he is. I do have to say though that he has tremendous hands around the basket. Dude catches everything.

AD is dominant inside but teams saw that and have began zoning and doubling the Lakers. He is not doing well against doubles. When he sees he is not going to get easy plays inside, he then becomes an outside shooting guard basically and this is hit or miss.

We need to get him involved in more screen and rolls, and less situations where he is a 6-11 SG. We have to find a way to utilize the way teams double him in the post. If we can figure that out, then he can rely more on them, and less on the SG role he often winds up playing.

Defensively he has been nothing short of dominant.

The O rating in this game was weak though - 94.4

Still a beast

When his shot starts falling we'll be unstoppable

He isn’t handling double teams well right now, but the other guys on the court need to start hitting 3s.

It’s not going to open up until the Lakers get consistent on 3s to open it up for not only AD, but the lanes that are clogged with double and sometimes triple team.

Watch the video, see if he shown any emotions after nice plays

By the way, his basket are mostly from layups and dunks, so shooting is not a great part of his game

Yeah, teams have been zoning us since Dallas. Making us shoot 3s

Agree, but coaches need to help out here a bit. Kings were really not going to let AD get comfortable. Constantly trying to double team him and we weren't really making the smartest of plays in these scenarios.

It's good we run into these sorts of problems early so we can iron them out throughout the year

Nobody will let AD gets comfortable
Lakers should just exploit more high low and lob the ball to AD for dunks

I mean it was clear the Kings game planned to take away AD tonight. It will happen until the Lakers learn to deal with it.

I mean do you guys remember earlier in the year when AD wasn’t being doubled? Coaches were going to eventually start to adjust and counter that.

I think injuries had something to do with it. His rebound numbers are way down. Only 1 double digit rebound games in the past 5 games. Like it or not, he has been more dominant playing the 5 even during his NOLA days.
You’d think people would try to take away Giannis too, but he is averaging 30/14/6

You guys think he's not handling double teams well? I've consistently seen him anticipating the help defender and find an open man with a skip pass or reset to the top of the key. He might not be Jokic, but it's not like he's getting flustered by double teams and turning the ball over.

Why does it seem like points are so hard for him to come by? I remember he would be on the Pelicans and I would look up and he would have 30 points and 20 rebounds in his sleep. Now 2 points is like a miracle for him. Is he injured? Struggling to fit in? What's going on.
