Anthony Davis said his shoulder is feeling better and that he's getting back to 100%.

Let's go, AD!!

AD will have to make a choice; if he wants to preserve himself physically he should stick at the 4, however, if he wants to put up the sexy stats then he needs to play more (and start) at the 5. If I recall correctly, the Kobe-Pau pick n roll was optimized when Drew was off the floor.

Yeah, I was never a huge Bynum fan and felt our best lineup had a Pau/Lamar frontline to support Kobe.

Fortunately or unfortunately Drew was usually in civilians on the bench.

The 40/20 was a free throw drill. This was real offense from AD.

I haven't seen the highlights of this game yet but whenever I look to see if AD is at 100% one of the things I look at is his rebounds. For the past 3 games he's averaged just over 4 rebounds a game because of his ribs and shoulder. Probably more to do with his ribs.

This game he got 7 rebounds which is nice, but he averages over 10 rebounds a game over his career and earlier in the season he was averaging over 11.

So just going off numbers I'm going to guess he still isn't quite right despite having a great offensive game. Which is scary because if AD can put up these numbers while still having niggles, if we can get him healthy he'll be pretty scary.

We are currently 6th in team rebound percentage. He’s got two teammates that average 8 in addition to his 9.

We have a ton of players to gobble up rebounds and he's challenging A LOT of shots. I don't think its a big deal that hes below his career average. As long as the team boxes out it doesn't matter who grabs the rebounds.

True but he's been playing with those teammates all year, and in the first 6 games he had 3 games with 10+ rebounds, 1 game with 20, and he was averaging over 11 rebounds a game.

His ribs got injured against the Suns, the next game he was inactive, then he had 5 rebounds, 1 rebound, and 7 rebounds in the next 3 games. I don't think that's a coincidence

The crazy thing about AD's defense is that if he switches off the big onto the ball-handling PG, he blankets that player and takes away the window for the entry pass to the big who has the mismatch, allowing a bigger wing like Lebron to switch again onto the big and the point guard to sawitch onto the corner guy.

Possibly, but we are also dealing in small sample sizes. He said today his shoulder is feeling much better so perhaps we’ll see an uptick.
