Eh. Giannis is a primary ball handler.
AD can shoot from everywhere on the floor now with his improved 3 shooting.
This is the same LBJ/AD play the same position argument. Granted, LBJ is a much better shooter than Giannis but he is also a primary ball handler.
The argument may be that there are more spacing issues, not "position" issues. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Right but neither want to defend opposing centers.
So which guy will you play at the 3? Giannis? |

I'm not wedded to traditional positions.
Giannis (primary ball handler), surround with shooters.
Have a nominal center/backup like Jav/Dwight but close with AD. Same formula as now except Giannis is a much more athletic and smothering defender now b/c he's so much younger. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

AD is gonna deny wanting to take it to the Pelicans, but deep down he probably wants to take it to them, as long as the game is officated fairly.. AD is gonna have a monster game. |

If you have Giannis and AD you don't try to box them into specific positions. They're two of the most versatile players in the league. Let other teams figure out how to matchup with those two guys. That would be a scary duo. |

Exactly. Having those two mean you can easily fill in the other "positions" with more 1-2 dimensional players b/c these players are very versatile. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Positions don’t matter in fantasy basketball coach land, sure.
But if it were actually true, we’d just tell AD he’s playing the 5 because when you have Lebron and AD you don’t box them into specific positions. |

Um, we'd do the same thing we are now.
I'm not hung up with "positions." AD doesn't like banging with traditional "centers" all game long, so we have Jav/Dwight taking up 36mpg.
AD closes games as the "tallest" guy at around 12mpg. I said that in my responses above. For me it's about skill set and yes, physicality. He doesn't like the physicality; doesn't mean he won't close in that "position." Same with Dray Green when the Warriors killed it. They didn't make him play "center" for 38mpg. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Joel Embiid went 0-11 for 0 points. Registering his first doughnut in a game ever lololol
Critics/haters can say what they want about AD but he would never pull that (bleep) ever |

Was Blessed to witness his 40 and 20 in 3 quarters game back in Staples earlier this season. Im kind of expecting him to go off even crazier but yeah who knows.
There’s Gotta be a ton of emotions running through his head. This is the city and franchise he bled his heart out for 7 years.
An then to top it off they traded him to a team and city he wanted to go to. Sure our assets played a big part of that but they could of easily sent him to the east coast to avoid facing him 4 times a season |

Embiid and Simmons both off to bad starts this year. I wonder what's up with those dudes? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I know you aren’t hung up with positions, but that doesn’t mean they don’t matter.
Giannis has been optimal playing as the 4 (not a position per se). And that is also where AD likes to play as well.
Do I think that would make it a bad pairing? No. But I don’t think it doesn’t matter. Ever since MIL has been a top team Giannis hasn’t played at the 3 at all I don’t think. And for good reason (even if it doesn’t matter to you). |

Alex (shaved)
THT (buzz cut)
Lebron (fade)
Giannis (haircut)
Anthony (crew cut) |

I kept hearing Simmons had been practicing his shot all summer.
Is he still reluctant to shoot beyond 5 feet? I haven't seen a minute of the Sixers this season. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

Simmons only shot 9 times from a distance greater than 10 feet, so far
Including 2 3-pointers |

And he made one.
Which is still one more then Demar Derozan has made all year in double the attempts =P |

Hmm. After reading Tania's tweet about encountering Lakers fans in N.O. and realizing their areana isn't full all the time, I'm starting to think he gets cheered tomorrow.
I wonder if LeBron and Rondo feed him for 44 tomorrow. |

Smoothie will be packed tonight because NOLA vs LA alway attracts a very nice contingent of Laker fans into the Big Easy.
Some will boo regardless but the Laker nation will be well represented. |
