For those that care about these sort of things.

AD's post up numbers in comparison to some of the other most frequent and established post players in the league and considered "elite" or all-star level bigs.

Post ups

Embiid 35% frequency 1.06 points per possession
AD 25% frequency 0.96 PPP
Love 23% frequency 0.94 PPP
Towns 19% frequency 0.89 PPP
Jokic 22% frequency 0.86 PPP
Aldridge 30% frequency 0.84 PPP

Only Embiid is better of the star bigmen. I think AD could become even better than Joel in post ups, if he stopped fading away on some of his post up jumpers and used his footwork to get closer to the basket.

Yesterday was a great example of how AD can abuse you in the post ups, and you can't really do anything about it unless you want to send 2-3 guys on him. He was using his footwork to get closer to the basket instead of a weak fadeaway, on the post ups. Coaching staff needs to challenge AD to become better than Embiid. Show him this stat. AD has the foorwork to catch the ball in the post and then get even closer to the basket. Sometimes he just settles for that initial catch and then fade. That is not what we want from him in the post.

That spin move in the post last night where he laid it in from behind the backboard. Just beautiful. I'm getting a little annoyed with the fadeaways too

That baseline spin move and an off hand finished is something that he need to develop. It looks so good that he if he practice this, he can execute this to almost automatic hence his go to move at some point.

The Davis fade away is just something we’re going to have to live with. He’s in game Load Managing. Just like not wanting to play center. Who knows, maybe he’ll start making them on a regular basis. Vogel has already asked him to shoot more threes.

Plus we watch Kobe for years jack up terrible shots while triple teamed with open teammates on the weak side. People ate that (bleep) up!

Yeah..5 rings do taste pretty good.

So like Kobe, with Davis, we’re going to have to take the good with the bad.

Seeing how the bad pales in comparison, yes sir

If fade away jumpers are the worst we have to deal with, we are pretty lucky.

Call me overly optimistic, but if AD keeps working on that fall away, I feel it will develop into a money shot for him.

Guys this is nuts. They said AD just needed to find a rhythm and he said he found a rhythm the last few games. Plus he is healthy. If this is the play we can expect from AD, might as fed ex the title to the Lakers. And perhaps the MVP trophy also

Any news on a contract extension? It's very clear that he loves his situation in LA, but I will feel a lot better after we sign this guy!

Damn. Would love to see Davis be the third player ever to get both the MVP and DPOY.

MJ, Dream, Brow.

LEGENDARY STATUS.

The scary part is he's only 26 and just scratching the surface of his prime years.

I think of Anthony Davis’ match ups this last week... Jokic, Gobert, Whiteside, and now KAT.... who by the way is having a career year.... and it’s been dominance on both ends .... averaging 34 and 9... also has 8 blocks 8 steals

Dude is making statements on all these bigs. Man, I want AD to put it on Giannis so bad.

Imagine the alternate timeline where he actually goes to Boston like everyone predicted for years. That would be depressing. I always dreamed of Anthony Davis but in my head I always knew it was unrealistic since Boston would probably get him.

Thank You Anthony Davis, Rich Paul and Papa Davis for not letting that happen.

Don't let that single digit rebounds per game @ 9 fool you either. If we needed him to, AD could bang down low and get every rebound if he wanted to.

Coach Calpari found them. Ist drafts!
But Davis was a defensive killing machine who is still not reaching his prime. What a scary thought for the opponents.

We gave up too much...
