I'm sure when DG drops 50 on 29 attempts AD will be more than happy to pull down 25 boards.

I'm absolutely fascinated by people who nitpick wild success when they play no role in the preparation or action.

21-3 is WILD success...this reminds me of that kid in Airplane talking to KAJ...

Vuc isn’t gonna play on Wednesday.. I guess you can make a point for Ban and Sabonis, Parker shouldn’t be added but we all know how awesome it would be if AD owns Giannis.

What % of his defensive greatness is instincts vs technique? I knew he was good, but I didnt know he was this good, especially on the defensive side.

Defensive stats are all trash. AD is by far the best overall defender in the league

AD is #61 on ESPN's RPM, behind luminaries like Mason Plumlee and Delon Wright.

I think he is by far the best. No one else in the league defends the paint and perimeter as well as he does. Giannis is the 2nd closest.

Only if we traded Lebron back for AD. And only if the Luka for AD trade was done in 2 years, not this year.

Where do Embiid, Jokic, Gobert, and Draymond rank?

Embiid, Jokic, and Gobert can't guard the perimeter like AD can. Draymond can't protect the paint like AD can. Only Giannis does both but AD is still better than him on D. I've never seen someone impact defense as much as AD has this season.

That's tough. DG and Rudy seem to have dropped off. And Jokic is out of shape. Plus Jokic, Embiid and Gobert werent good defenders on the perimeter.

AD
Rudy
Embiid
DG
Brook
Jokic

You would be wrong. He isn’t by far the best.

I think he has the potential to be the better defensive player though. But Giannis is just a force defensively. Surely the advanced stats back that up.

Which advanced stat accurately measures defense? I'd say they do a better job at measuring team defense, but very vague for individual defense.

No, you are incorrect. Review the film and check the play type stats instead of the all inclusive stats. AD is by far better

That's the crazy thing I've thought about. If you could see the future, you could have had Doncic for less than what you gave for AD. Lonzo and Ingram alone probably would have gotten Atlanta to bite. Right now, cause of his play and age, Doncic is probably the most untouchable player in the league. I don't know about the Lakers, but I know Dallas would turn it down.
