I'm sure when DG drops 50 on 29 attempts AD will be more than happy to pull down 25 boards.
I'm absolutely fascinated by people who nitpick wild success when they play no role in the preparation or action.

Defensive stats are all trash. AD is by far the best overall defender in the league
He is the best but not by far but it does sound nice and it can’t be unproven so I am fine with it lol
I think he is by far the best. No one else in the league defends the paint and perimeter as well as he does. Giannis is the 2nd closest.
Where do Embiid, Jokic, Gobert, and Draymond rank?
Embiid, Jokic, and Gobert can't guard the perimeter like AD can. Draymond can't protect the paint like AD can. Only Giannis does both but AD is still better than him on D. I've never seen someone impact defense as much as AD has this season.

Which advanced stat accurately measures defense? I'd say they do a better job at measuring team defense, but very vague for individual defense.

No, you are incorrect. Review the film and check the play type stats instead of the all inclusive stats. AD is by far better

That's the crazy thing I've thought about. If you could see the future, you could have had Doncic for less than what you gave for AD. Lonzo and Ingram alone probably would have gotten Atlanta to bite. Right now, cause of his play and age, Doncic is probably the most untouchable player in the league.
