Kawhi / LeBron / AD
Kawhi is a dominant Defender.
LeBron is a Dominant Scorer and Passer.
I don't think you can go wrong either way...

AD is the best player in the league in my opinion, he doesn't have the resume that the other do, but his talent is 2nd to none. Tall, strong, athletic, can shoot, can finish, can hit FTs, can block, can handle the ball, and is probably the #1 or #2 best defensive player in the league.
His PER already is what Jordan and Bron had in their prime, and he hasn't even hit his ceiling yet. |

I suspect that Playoff LeBron is still a little > Kawhi. We haven't seen him in a while so it's just conjecture at this point.
During the regular season, I'm assuming LeBron will be 3rd. |

it's easily AD. just size alone. lbj is easily the worst lol. a lot think kawhi is the best due to his resume and the fact that he is riding as high as anyone can in the nba currently. but overall, AD is easily the best player. tallest, which is a huge deal, and shoots better than lebron and only slightly worse than kawhi.
the other stuff like defense and rebounding are far less important. kawhi is good defender, a bit overrated IMO. AD is good, not great. lebron is garbage.
lebron will get the most calls, which is great. he will also get the most leeway as far as complaining to refs, which is big also. kawhi lately has been allowed to travel, especially this past playoffs, hopefully that continues. AD should get some love around the rim as far as pushing people for rebounds and blocking dudes with fouls going uncalled. but of the three, he probably gets the least love. |

This. They are all great players in different ways... but we can't ignore that LeBron is ageing. For this reason, I hope LeBron takes a backseat to Kawhi and AD on the court from day 1, and helps them realize that too. Or else, we risk losing a year like when LeBron joined Miami and was taking a backseat to D Wade in year 1 there when they lost to Dallas. Now the roles have reversed and LeBron needs to do what D Wade did after that loss and help the younger superstars take the reins. |
