Top Five Lakers Power Forwards of All time have to be:
1. Pau Gasol
2. Bob McAdoo
3. Lamar Odom
4. A.C. Green
5. Mychal Thompson
Note: James worthy was not a Power Forward.
I doubt that Davis plays the PF spot for the Lakers, but it would be awesome if he did. It wouldn't take much for him to be the best PF of all time for the Lakers, other than winning multiple championships and putting the team on his back!
Gasol was an All Star and definitely the best PF in Lakers History to date, winning two (2) Championships with the Lakers. Oddly enough that team also had Lamar Odom who had major minutes at the same position, which overall made the team very formidable. Gasol probably gets the nod more so for his overall complete body of work in the NBA, but McAdoo is a close second.
Davis has played a lot of 5, but obviously is more of a 4 in the NBA. If the Lakers secure a good solid starting Big Man, he should dominate the league from the PF spot. However, not only will another starter at the 5 help his overall potential in obtaining the best Lakers PF Ever, but a solid backup and contributor to give him good rest during long stretches of time to preserve his energy!
If the Lakers plan on using Kuzma more in the 6th man role and AD at the 4 with say JaVale as the starting 5, then AD will go a long way in Lakes History. He could very well work his way in to a Tim Duncan Conversation as one the the best PFs of all time... That's a BIG "IF"! |

I would pick Davis with my closed eyes...
Oh yes... I love Gasol very much
but if I have to choose... |
Yeah. Davis hasn’t even hit his prime yet too!
I think we need to define what “better” means exactly. There is better as a player, and then there is more accomplished. |

People forget how good gasol was.
It may become davis, sure. But as of today, having not seen Davis play any games as a Laker, I would go with gasol, and would expect all of us to.
I'm as happy as anyone that davis is a laker, but don't put him on a pedestal until he's delivered something _________________ Kobe |

He is still a better player though.
Other than passing, he does everything else better. |

Well, those are arguably the top 5 since the Showtime era
Let's give a shoutout to
1. Vern Mikkelsen, a Hall of Famer from the Minneapolis Laker
2. Rudy Larusso, a five-time all-star why played PF with Baylor and West.
3. Happy Hairston, who put up 13-13 for the 69-win ring team |

Pau Gasol is not the #1 on pf. AD will end up being that for the Lakers _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |
