Agree that Dudley doesn’t move the needle, but why do we need to open up a roster spot?

We don't have enough depth at the 3/4 to cut Dudley.

Dudley or Justin Anderson or McKinney?

It does make sense that we should adjust the roster and get another solution as a backup 3/4 than Jared Dudley.

Dudley is here to have a veteran presence and hit the occasional 3 and he’s gonna be the guy who won’t take crap from anyone who messes with AD and LeBron and tries to injure them.. I want him to stay.

Talking out my rear on this... But would Memphis take KCP and a south bay Laker for iggy? Can we throw cash at Memphis to offset KCP's larger contract?

Lakers would likely need to include 2 more players to match Iggy's contract.

Cavs claimed McKinney
Dudley is a good back up

So will he get some minutes, or is he an emergency roster fill in just in case the entire backcourt is in foul trouble tonight?

Good luck, young man!

I'm going to put myself out there and say he's going to be a real presence tonight during however many minutes he gets, and I'm totally prepared to eat crow if he's a non-entity.

Kudos to Zach Norvell! He played well last night; 23 points (6-13 3pts).

I hope his hot-shooting carries over into tonights game vs the Sacto Kings.

It would be great if he got an opportunity (and cashed in) during the next few games. I really believe he can be a contributor for us.

I have been patient. I'm waiting for Zack man. That guy is electric think of kuzma and Lou. I know people will say it is not possible but i'm confident that he could take all of KCP minutes and turn them into gold off the bench. I once said Ingram would be at 23ppg in no time and people did not believe it. Zack has game.

I can not wait. You see how kuzma has revolutionized our offense? A guy like Zack can help us enhance that just with his scoring mentality even if its not all the way there yet.

On defense I saw him try hard but coach knows more about schemes and stuff than I do so maybe hes working on that side of the ball.

Norvell is not better than KCP at this point in time. He needs time to develop.

Yep, even in the G-league has been underwhelming. I really don't get so many people thinking the same way like in the tank years.

Haha, dude got no minutes, crow is off the menu! Still think he's going to make a splash whenever he does play. Looked great during the Summer.

Huge difference between summer league and actual nba play. Norvell has potential, but it’s extremely unlikely he makes an impact this season, even if he got minutes. He’s the hot unknown people love to hype up because he’s shown flashes against inferior competition and he hasn’t played so people can project unrealistic expectations on him. It’s like Svi from a couple years back; people were thinking he’d come in guns blazing because of how well summer league went for him, and he wasn’t good at all during the regular season. Or Alexander Walker on the Pelicans this season who couldn’t miss a shot during summer league but has been pedestrian at best so far.

That’s not saying none of those guys will be good in the nba, because they’ve all got potential. But the expectations people heap on them for summer league success are unfair to them in their very early careers.

I get ya. I'm still gonna stick with his surprising folks when/if he gets real minutes, totally prepared to be wrong.

I haven’t watched the G League team, but I was checking the stats idly and noticed Norvell is shooting only 28 percent there, and THT hasn’t been much better at 38 percent. Anyone watching the games have any context for that? I’ve only seen some clips of highlight plays on Twitter that made me think both were playing well in the G League.

My thoughts after watching half of 2 different games.

THT has been a little trigger happy with bad shot selection.

Zach has been settling for 3pt shots where he has been cold. Needs to work in more drives and mid range.

Cool. They play tonight and there is no Laker game on, so I guess I’ll check them out if they’re on Spectrum.
