Roscoe Allen could possibly get a camp invite and/or a spot with the South Bay Lakers. Yes, no, maybe?? |

Today, they all sucked. They pretty much play below the rim except for some miscellaneous stuff.
Based on today they're not NBA material. Hopefully they look better in the future but a lot of below the rim hustle while Miami bigs were jumping out of the gym. Miami shots were falling as well. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

THEY SUCK!! I turned it off after 10 minutes
I didn't see anyone that stood out as even being on the court with an NBA squad. I can find better players on the street. |

There are maybe a few G-League prospects and camp fodder but nothing much to report.
Like #deal said "They pretty much play below the rim except for some miscellaneous stuff."
Hopefully THT will give them a spark when they get to Vegas.
FYI:
Jordan Howard showed heart & hustle. Dude wasn't even listed on the original team roster and outplayed everyone else in limited minutes.. |

Lakers vs. Heat Final Score: Miami gets hot early, dominates en route to 106-79 win
Quote: | Zach Norvell, who the team signed to a two-way contract for the upcoming season, led the Lakers with three assists and would have had more if his teammates finished some easy scoring opportunities. He finished with 11 points and generally looked more comfortable attacking and distributing than the rest of the roster.
Aric Holman didn’t score but had two blocks, showing his ability to defend in space. He was one of two Lakers to finish with a positive plus-minus along with Jordan Howard, who showed out for 11 points in 12 minutes of garbage time. Howard wasn’t on the originally released roster, but there was an opening when Talen Horton-Tucker was ruled out for the Sacramento games. |

One of my buddies said they were playing like a bad AAU team. I told him that was an insult to the AAU. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

this is what happens when you throw a bunch of prospective role players in a game together with no play makers to help glue everything down... everyone ends up looking alot worse than what they are |

Didn't realize Joe Young was on the team. Wasn't he a little pleasant surprise for the Pacers for awhile? |

Is definitely not a PG. Weak handles. On one possession today he dribbled behind his back 2 or 3 times and fumbled the ball each time. Also not a SG. Maybe he will show more in the following games. |

Jordan Howard showed out in limited minutes. Poised with a nice shot. Got good genes. Very very similar to his brother Markus of Marquette.
Hope he gets more opportunity in the following games.
Holman's length and quick jump also showed out and affected Miami's interior offense. Only played part of the 4th quarter.
Norvell is at this time a spot up shooter. Similar to his play at Gonzaga he does not shoot off the dribble. Did not drive to the hoop often as Miami has big long athletes playing inside. Got blocked on one drive to the hoop.
Dakota missed 2 open looks from 3. His shot was coming up short.
Perkins looks like a soft body Julius but did not show anything.
Caroline can handle the ball but was out of control on 2 or 3 drives he took basically the length of the court. Either missed badly, got blocked or offensive foul.
Roscoe knows how to play but is a lesser Travis Wear.
Cacok needs to play with a PG who can set him up. Gets out of position on defense but that applied to most of the team.
Herro is nice but needs to work on his handles. Won't be able to dribble drive against NBA athletes/defense.
Duncan Robinson who I have championed for in the past is a shooter the Lakers could use.
Karl played poor shooting line ups. It was a hard game to watch until the last half of the 4th quarter when Howard and Holman got in. Maybe it was by design where the rotations were kept to a set of players and the others will get their chance in the following games but if Howard and Holman played more the game would have been more competitive. |

Very good assessment of the players and the action. Thanks for posting good info. |

Zach has a 2-way & will hopefully improve enough to get a few call ups during the season; Holman, on the other hand, has nice potential as a stretch big and a defender but he's going to have to really grind to at least make the South Bay team.
I'm pulling for Holman to get a camp invite; we shall see. |
