I've never heard his salary had anything to do with him waiting on the Dallas offer. The only thing I heard is he was talking to Dallas, the Lakers, and Toronto, but was waiting to see if Leonard returned to Toronto before making his own decision.
SI reported that Dallas offered slightly less than $15 million a year, but it wasn't dramatically different than the Lakers offer.
Green has said he chose the Lakers over the Mavericks because the Mavericks were a year or two away from contending. |
I researched this and I realize that I made the age-old mistake of relying on my memory (which often reflects LG speculation/discussion) instead of on published reports, thanks for the correction.
The Lakers needed to offer $15m more likely because they were only offering 2 years vs Dallas' $12 million x 3 years offer. (Per Tim McMahon ESPN).
So yes, the Lakers did NOT pay DG for waiting, they paid him to beat out Dallas. |

It was also reported that the third year of the contract with Dallas was only partially guaranteed. I don't know the exact money, but yeah it sounds like the Lakers had to offer a touch more to get Green to sign a 2-year contract. |

Vogel's trust in Green's length on defense is killing the team, almost lost this one. He is pathetically late on rotations and KCP shoots about the same from 3 on the season. Play KCP or even Kuzma more. |

I tend to agree. But he may he slow, but I think his rotations are usually legit. I don't recall how consistent kcp and Kuz's are. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

As long as the Lakers keep winning while Green's play is subpar is good news for the team's hope for a championship. He will make a positive impact. |

I believe Danny Green will find his soft touch in game 3. It will be raining 3s from Danny. |

is Denny Green the worst finisher at the rim Lakers ever had? every time he went up for a routine layup was nerve wrecking. |

He’s pretty bad at running down the court as well. He’s good at getting g state downs from Lebron though. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

I have a feeling that "Play-Off Danny Green" will eventually come alive before we're done. He's overdue for a good game or two. |

He's had at least one good game, maybe two thus far. What he is really due for is a 7-12 from 3pt land, 4-5 makes in a row, blow the game open in the second quarter kind of night |
