The guy just came off a season in which he won a championship he isn’t gonna be engaged in a pre season game especially considering that he’s a seasoned vet.

Fair enough. Hoping the team gels well to start playing with better cohesion. I liked what I've seen so far. Green had more movement in yesterday's game than the first two. I am well aware Vogel is trying out different line ups and plays, though so we have yet to see how he will be maximized during the season.

I think it's an insult to say he's not engaged. He's being misused on offense and his shot just hasn't started falling yet. That doesn't mean he isn't engaged. Maybe if they used him as a spot up shooter it would make him more comfortable and he'd start knocking down his shots. But either way, he's a sniper so his shot will fall at some point. I'm not worried.

It's going to take time for the team to gel; no worries; DG will be fine.

Bump.

A Lebron/AD PnR with DG in the corner is the most lethal offensive weapon in the league right now. Just imagine closing the 4th Q of a playoff game and having to defend that over and over and over...

NICE! Imagining now...
Rondo on the other wing, and his man sags off to crowd the PNR...

I'm starting to see parallels between the Kobe 2.0 teams from 2008-2010. Seriously.

A ball-dominant superstar with terrific play-making ability but fighting the rep that no one wants to play with him? Then Kobe, now LeBron.

A multi-skilled big-man with a strong face-up game who put up great numbers on a lower-end playoff team but could not lead that team anywhere? Then Pau, now AD.

A 3 & D specialist with championship experience on the north end of 30, one who's expected to be leader but will never be more than a complementary player? Then Fish, now Green.

A massive, potentially dominating center with surprising shooting ability but a troubling history of leg injuries and maturity issues? Then Bynum, now Cousins.

A multi-skilled , mobile forward coming off the bench that's beloved by fans with coaches wondering if he'll ever take "the next step' to becoming a dominant player? Then Odom, now Kuz.

Just sayin'...

Value your takes, but you're being generous to Kuz there. Don't see him with the rebounding skills or face up dribble of Odom. And we lack an athletic guy in the middle court like Trev.

DG will have to be on his "A" game defensively because the Clips are stacked on the perimeter. He will also be called on to make some timely treys.

can't wait; GO LAKERS!!

Stacked? Green, Beverly Zubac, Harrell....I'll give you Lou...but Landry had a below average preseason...so I'm not understanding stacked.

Zero complaints about this guy. We are fortunate to have him.

I'm ecstatic his shot is back compared to the pre-season.

Played good def against Kawhi in the 2nd half too. Should’ve kept him on Kawhi during the 2nd quarter instead of KCP, that’s when Kawhi went off.

Honestly, he's as streaky of a good shooter as you'll see.. There will be plenty of nights where people praise him like tonight but also a lot where people say he's awful after a 1-6 game. He was like this on the Spurs and Raptors.

As long as his defense is consistent I don't mind that.

It really is a shame they couldn't pull out a win when he played that great.

With a large sample size of 1 game, he is our team MVP.

Green won't shoot that well every game. But he will always be respected behind the line.

teams won't leave him open which is key.

He won't be doing this every game. So it sucks that we lost. It's wasted.

Green needs to be aggressive and play like a number 3 option until Kuzma is healthy. I don't care if he makes them all but it shouldn't be hard for him to match Kuzma's 30% rate from three even if he's chucking. The Clippers were jumping the passing lanes because they knew everything was going through AD and LBJ. If Green can establish himself as a 20 point threat, even if temporarily, it will keep the defense more honest.

I'll eat crow and _now_ say he's worth every penny of his contract after that opening game. Hope he gets hot regularly throughout the season, and puts in the effort he showed yesterday.
