Boogie will be back, I’m guessing as a 3rd string guy to start with, but having the potential to really crack into the rotation as an important piece

Report: Houston Rockets, DeMarcus Cousins to part ways

So, it looks like Demarcus will be free to join whomever he wants shortly. With Davis out of the lineup, it has revealed a glaring issue for us to need another big (one with actual size). Of course, he's not a rim protector which would probably be a nicer option, but I can't help but wonder if Cousins would be seriously considering the Lakers as a viable option. He was treated well here. He got the ring despite him really not contributing other than being a cheerleader. We can use him.

Everything seems to be lining up for a Demarcus return!

I don't think Demarcus Cousins is coming to us. It would be great if he did though.

At rebounding, yes? Everything else on the defensive end, I don’t think so.

Cousins would not anchor, but he would give us some size throughout a game if we wanted it.

He does a lot of what we want from Kieff, only he is bigger and more skilled.

Yup. He would effectively take kieff’s stretch big spot.

A stretch big has to be more mobile though. I get that he is insurance but I'm not totally convinced he gives us a different look from Gasol or that he really fills an area of need otherwise.

I think he is actually a lesser version of the current Gasol. He’s more offensive scoring minded but Marc is a better defender.

Would other players even want him in the locker room after the Houston scuffle?

Only on LG will you find someone saying that Demarcus Cousins is a "lesser version" than Marc Gasol. Still laughing over that one.

He is a floor spacing big man who passes who can’t move. He is more scoring minded than Marc. What’s your response?

Difference with Gasol, Cousins is willing to bang down low. He also take the ball inside and can score around the rim. Unlike Gasol who just pretty much perimeter game.

.

That’s fine. But he would be playing with Trezz who needs to be inside. Boogie would have to space the floor for him though. And his interior FG% isn’t great this year. My point is at this stage of their careers, they are extremely slow footed with Marc having a defensive edge. Boogie is more offensive minded but on this team and role would need to play Kieff’s role basically.
