Lol yeah, or even Amar'e Stoudamire, since he's looking for a team. He used to be so much fun to watch before the knee injuries... and even for some time after TBH. Had we somehow managed to get him in his early years, he would have been a worthier successor to the long line of Lakers bigs than effin' Dwight.... and Kobe-Amar'e would have been such a deadly duo. Who knows, with a better scoring partner, they might not have gotten as many injuries as they did .

Oh... and Phuck Foenix!

Same with Boogie because of his injury.

I don't care if Dwight goes to the east. But if we can't get Iggy, I'd take Dwight over Lance.

I like Lance but he adds nothing.

Dwight provides good cover if AD or DMC get injured and he's not on our arch enemy's team.

EVERY year like clockwork he claims he will be on his best behavior.

I go with Lance all day over Dwight b/c it's an actual need. Dwight would be behind AD/JAV/Boogie. He will not be happy and then what's the point of wasting a spot on him while we have no true SF backing up LBJ?

What scandal... the transsexual thing?

AD says he wants centers on the team...but he also says he wants guys who are all about winning. That leaves Dwight out.

He also wants guys who are unselfish. Strike two against Dwight.

No one else comes close, not even Smush and Tierre Brown.

I wouldn't let an old grudge stop the Lakers from getting better. The thing is he is the 3rd string center here. If he wanted to come and ride the bench in case one of our centers gets hurt then fine. Otherwise he may find minutes elsewhere.

When was the last time Dwight Howard made a team better?

2015-16 Dwightless Hawks (48-34)
2016-17 Dwightful Hawks (43-39)

2016-17 Dwightless Hornets (36-46)
2017-18 Dwightful Hornets (36-46)

2017-18 Dwightless Wizards (43-39)
2018-19 Dwightful Wizards (32-50)

One team lost Teague and Horford... the other lost Wall

If you don't like Dwight... fair enough... but he would help the Clippers defend our centers.

If he wants to come and rehabilitate his sh*t reputation... better us than Doc.

Let him defend the Lakers centers then. I will enjoy watching it.

McGee will run him off the court and even a broken down malcontent like Cousins is going too battle him even. Hell. if all the optimism of a Cousins resurgence is true then Howard is getting benched.

Which for a delusional of his own skills and impact player like Howard will be disruptive on and off the court. He and Cousins may have more in common then we want to admit.

If we could post photos here, I would add the one of Bugs Bunny saying “no” emphatically. Our final roster spot should only go to one of several players in my mind:

1.) Andre Igoudala
2.) CP3 (which is unlikely because of Rondo and him hating each other)
3.) Kyle Korver

...and Melo at a distant 4th.

If the situation was reversed.. I'd say sign Boogie if we already had Dwight.

No one wanted DMC except for me and a few other posters... but once we got him... everyone suddenly wanted him.

Even I who advocated for him, still views him with skepticism.

It's purely a defensive move... assuming we cannot sign Iguodala...

IF there's no one good available... nothing wrong with using the 15th spot to keep him from the Clippers.

Even if you are 75... even 90% right about Dwight... I don't want to leave that 10 to 25% to chance.

Keep him off of the Clippers.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, because I think Lakers management agrees with this board.

But that's what I would do if I were a GM.

I'd see if there's a loophole in the salary cap that would allow us to pay him to go to the Clippers.

He added 4 wins to the Lakers

But they played 16 more games than the previous (lockout shortened) season.

Cousins is bad enough. Still makes me ill this clown is a Laker. I am not looking forward to this season of watching his displays of bad attitude and slow defense.

But I will at least acknowledge an upside of potentially regaining some mobility and potentially being kept in check by the vets on this team. Also think he knows his chances to win a ring are diminishing. This win now Laker team may be the last one he can latch onto.

Howard was a disruption in his prime. Now he is not worth the concern as he continues his decline. The man is done. I doubt he ends up being the pivotal reason the Lakers lose a series. If they lose it was because they had bigger issues then Howard.

He's loathed in every locker room he enters. His bad attitude and poor work ethic are contagious. I'd love to see him on the Clippers.
