You think Floyd was a boxer? If you had the good fortune to see Sweet Pea perform you saw the art of hit and not be hit performed to perfection. RIP

when I read this alert this morning....just kept thinking "this sucks".....just not the way you ever expect a great champion to be killed. I think his legacy is even bigger if he retires after the De La Hoya fight.

RIP Sweet Pea

Yeah, he was prime Floyd Mayweather before there was a prime Floyd Mayweather. I think the "Pretty Boy" version of Floyd - the one before the hand issues - edges Sweet Pea at lightweight due to his superior athleticism and 3" reach advantage (which I think would be huge in a defensive matchup such as this one) but that's a matchup that could've went either way... Sweet Pea was that good. RIP.
