I'm afraid to say how many I did over the past month...the same number as my 5th-round running back! (When you're as much of a night owl as I am, not much to do at 3AM. When you're married. LOL.)

I just glanced at top player rankings about 15 minutes ago for the 1st time this year. My system is up here (I am pointing to my head).....

Draft Room opens in less than 20 minutes

I think I should have out a little more effort into prep....or at least prep'd a little more once draft order was known. I felt like I continued to get myself boxed in with my pick. Not very pleased with my draft, but we can toss them out there and if it is not working, I will just have to work on it over the first few weeks.

I hated my team after the draft and started 0-4 last year but ended up winning the league. The draft is far from the end-all-be-all in fantasy, a trade and a waiver wire pickup can go a long way

fffuuuuuuuhhhhh....
I got called in to work last minute and then was dealing with a family emergency up until just now. Completely forgot about the draft until about 5 minutes ago.

Sorry if I caused any delays with the auto-draft BS. At this point I dont even care about my roster. But once shtt settles down, I'll get back into it.

None of the mock drafts I did had Zeke Elliott sliding to where I could pick him at 6.

I will take him at 6, now I need Jerry to get him signed.

Yahoo rated my draft a B which I would agree with, but ready to go to battle with this team (sign today please Mr. Elliott)

LakerLanny
1. (6) Ezekiel Elliott (Dal - RB)
2. (19) Kerryon Johnson (Det - RB)
3. (30) Julian Edelman (NE - WR)
4. (43) T.Y. Hilton (Ind - WR)
5. (54) Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB)
6. (67) Vance McDonald (Pit - TE)
7. (78) Robby Anderson (NYJ - WR)
8. (91) Royce Freeman (Den - RB)
9. (102) Michael Gallup (Dal - WR)
10. (115) Lamar Jackson (Bal - QB)
11. (126) New England (NE - DEF)
12. (139) Dante Pettis (SF - WR)
13. (150) Nyheim Hines (Ind - RB)
14. (163) C.J. Anderson (Det - RB)
15. (174) Matt Bryant (Atl - K)

^^^I did not consider Zeke a risky pick....I would have taken him before #6 if I had the option. Makes me sad to see Kerryon on another roster.....feel like I put all the work in last year developing him, and he is set up for a nice year.

Were you just concerned about his contract?

Yeah I don't think DJ is a better player, Zeke might be the best in the league...when he is actually playing though.

If anyone wants to trade, I’m down. I’m on the market for a receiver. And no, I don’t want dez Bryant.

I was looking at my roster last year....how the heck did I not win? I had

QB - Patrick Mahomes
RB1 - Saquon Barkley
RB2 - Joe Mixon
WR 1 - Mike Evans
WR2 - rotated Chris Godwin, Marquise Goodwin, Antonio Callaway, Dede Westbrook (my weak spot)
TE - O.J. Howard (I think this one hurt me because he had season ending injury)
Kicker - Harrison Butker
Defense - Started with Bears, finished with someone else.
Flex - Breida or Kerryon Johnson

It was not a perfect roster, but I would love to be starting with this one this year.

Replacements made all the great roster moves and ended up with all the running backs and receivers.

Fantasy is 65 waiver/free agency/trades, 35 draft.

yeah, I forget that angle sometimes. I think I went in as the #1 seed....but every one of my guys had a terrible week. Just went back and looked at Mahomes, Barkley, Mixon and Evans all had one their worst weeks of the season. If I recall correctly it would not have mattered because they were all bad the following week also.

I've been on all ends of the spectrum on this. In the same league I've had the following 3 outcomes. In 2015, I had a magical, undefeated regular season, with one tie (they didn't have fractional scoring at the time, and now they do). In the playoff semifinal after a bye, I thought I had lost by 2 points. My defense was given a scoring adjustment of 2 points on Wednesday, two days after the Week 15 game and one day before the first game of Week 16, finals week. The commish was going to advance me to the final based on a higher-seed-advances tiebreak. I asked if both of us advancing to contest a 3-way final was possible, feeling that was harsh for the other guy. The commish said that was OK with him if it was OK with the finalist from the other side of the bracket. Honestly, I wouldn't have been OK with it if I had been the other guy, but he said he was as long as he was guaranteed 2nd place money, and that was cool with everyone. Feeling new life from what I thought was a crushing disappointment, I went with a hunch and picked up Cousins to play for the Thursday game against the Eagles (who were putrid that year), and I also had Jordan Reed. The two of them combined for about 80 fantasy points, literally, and I absolutely steamrolled my way to the title. (That's probably a story I'll still be telling when I am a very old man, if the fates allow.)

In 2017, I won the league again, with probably my worst team ever in that league. I was a slight underdog in the Week 14 quarterfinal, and happened to win that. Then as a big underdog against the #1 seed in the semifinal, he laid an egg with his stacked team, and I won easily despite a mediocre score. Then in the final, I again scored average but somehow won. Finally, last year, I had a fantastic team, easily leading the league in total points. I got a bye, and in the semifinal, it was my team's turn to completely fall flat on my face, and I lost easily to a mediocre squad.

You just never, never know!

My buddy had Ekeler on his bench in our 8-team league. He still scored a 199.95, though!

Week 1 trade! We're getting this season started off right!

I wanted Brown but ChickenStu took him right before me and I ended up taking Evans. Now because of everything that went on, we just swapped players.

If Z (bleep) had a QB worth anything, he'd be looking at 220+ points. (bleep) crazy.

He is back in. But might be too late for you? Looks like you're just shy of 3 points short. He may not have gotten that anyway. But Njoku leaving the game is what really cost you.
