I will not be shocked if USF upsets #19 Wisconsin in Tampa tonight....it is just hot and humid.

You can get USF at +575 in live betting right now; they are down 7-0 to the Badgers almost midway through the first quarter.

I would not touch that game because Wisconsin has more talent and should win....just curious how the extreme weather change will effect them especially in the 2nd Half.

I don't expect UCLA to do much this year, seems like if they win more than last season its a success.

the truth is Cincinnati was favored to win that game because they are a better team....Cincinnati is expected to be better than a lot of P5 schools this year....and be up there with UCF and Memphis trying to get to a big bowl game. They very well may be better than WVU this year. Still, none of that matters.....if you are Chip Kelly with the UCLA brand behind you, nobody is going to find it acceptable to lose to a Group of Five team.

I'm surprised we only lost by 10 when it was announced that star RB Joshua Kelley wasn't going to play. Maybe we would have won if we had him. Kid is pretty good. Even with Kelley, I wasn't expecting us to win this game, not on the road against a quality opponent.

Chip's seat could get real hot real fast. I am not sure how good San Diego State is this year, but they were projected to compete for their division as usual. If UCLA loses at home to SDSU next week, the following week Oklahoma comes to town followed by a trip to Pullman to face a ranked Washington State team...then to Tucson to face an Arizona team that I think will be dangerous all year.

UCLA has been the Mighty Aztecs kryptonite over the years.

The UCLA-SDSU game at the legendary then Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego in 1984 was the first Aztec game I attended at my beloved university.

As I recall, UCLA did not score a touchdown but still beat us 18-16 on 6 field goals. The horror!

The Aztec Nation was wearing fucla shirts of course.

Eh, Army is -23. We have them right where we want them.

Rice kept them off the scoreboard until under 9 minutes in the 2nd Quarter

Tied up 7-7 at the Half. This does not look like your fathers Rice....or your uncle's or even your older brothers....they basically do not look like Rice!

Army takes the lead 14-7 late in the 4th. Rice has 3:58 to try to score to tie or take the lead with a 2 Point conversion....

why Rice? 4th and inches, and they attempt and fail with a pass. Rice's strength is the O Line and running game.....get the new set of downs and you still have 40 seconds inside the 30 yard line to try to score.

Army wins 14-7

So far, I'd say that the biggest face plant has been Tennessee. Iowa State almost got the award, but squeaked it out. Boise State showed us that Florida State is still in the wilderness.

- unless Missouri pulls a major comeback, you can add them to the list as they are down 34-17 to Wyoming late in the 3rd. Missouri with Kelly Bryant was talked up this summer, and you will notice they were ranked #26 in the AP poll.

- Also Iowa State has been a trendy pick to upset Oklahoma and Texas in the B12 this year.....yet it took them 3OT's to escape Northern Iowa.

- maybe even add South Carolina who was nearly 2 TD favorites over UNC (who is supposed to be bad this year)...UNC came back to win.

on the backend, but the depth of the SEC has been diminishing form years. Still, their Top 3 or contenders ('Bama, UGA and LSU) all looked elite and could even be argued they are 3 of the best 4 teams in the country.

for the 2nd year in a row, will an early loss to Auburn keep the PAC12 Champion out of the CFP?

Disgusting play calling by Oregon in the 2nd half.

What a disgrace.

Yep......
Unfortunately for Oregon most people remember them on the national stage for losing games of significance.

JT Daniels carted off the field with a leg injury....if he's gone for significant time, USC's season could be over.

Those emotional hires....highly supported by the players often seem to be mistakes. A lot on 'Nole fans wish they would take Taggert back.

I thought the American (AAC) and Mountain West (MW) had great weekends.

AAC

- UCF looks like they have not missed a beat and will again make some noise nationally. Huge game against Stanford coming up.

- Cincinnati beats P5 school (UCLA)...closing the gap with UCF. Huge game against Ohio State this weekend.

- Memphis beats P5 school (Ole Miss)...closing the gap with UCF.

- only real letdown was USF (lose big to Wisconsin) and Houston has a big chance to represent against Oklahoma tonight.

MW

- Hawaii beats a P5 school (Arizona)

- Nevada beats a P5 school (Purdue)

- Boise State beats a P5 school (FSU)

- Wyoming beats a P5 school (Missouri)

- lost 3 games to P5 schools, but all were respectable

JT Daniels out for the season with a torn ACL. USC season could be over if their backups don't deliver.
