Dwight Howard: "After the last game, the Knicks and the hard foul and stuff like that, we had some messages going back and forth in the group chat about how we gotta come out and dominate teams and let them know we not playing games."

Man who is this guy? Is this really THE Dwight Howard?
Amazing.
He is like a differrent guy. Dwight Howard the bully on the court is so much better then Dwight Howard the sulking jerk in the locker room. I don't know if a leopard can change its spots, but adults can. And Dwight is an old man by NBA standards at this point.

Dwight is definitely proving me wrong and I hope he continues to do so until the end of his deal with us.
He looks to be in incredible shape and that doesn't happen by accident.
I was so down on him and now it looks like the best bang for the buck signing in the league.
Same here, bro. Gotta give Dwight his props. He's worked very hard both physically and mentally to get to this point. Incredible comeback. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

He’s been such a pleasure to see play this season.
Easily the best signing of the offseason given it’s a minimum contract. I’d never thought I would actually want him to be resigned, but he’s probably going to be out of their price range after the season.

Hopefully he will get a ring though!
Dwight would have to be crazy to leave after the season. This is a perfect fit for him. He's made plenty of money, $238 million, and that's not including off the court income.
He looks so athletic this year, I thought his days were over, but on some of the lobs and blocks, he surprised me.
He’s definitely improved over the season. His first few games/weeks he didn’t seem to have the lift he has now. Just hope he can stay healthy, which is one reason why I really like that they aren’t pushing more minutes on him. Him and Javale have a nice balance going that will hopefully keep them both fresh.
You could see last game when Javale was forced to play extra minutes that he was getting gassed. Last season we saw him fall off a cliff the 2nd half (granted that was post pneumonia).
A healthy, active Dwight is still such a force defensively and you can tell he has his swagger back. He’s not that far off from his DPOY form.

While I agree, hard to pass up on millions or a longer term deal. Him and Javale really have formed a great tandem.
I really wonder how much these guys make off the court. It’s gotta be a factor. Winning a chip sure could improve his sponsorship opportunities in LA

Not sure how smart he's been about saving/investing the money he's made, though. And he does have plenty of kids to support for many more years. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Incredible redemption. His BLK% is the highest it has been his entire career (6.8%, with the previous high being 6.0% in 2009/2010). His defense is a thing of beauty and his offensive rebounds are a blessing. Hopefully he can keep it up.

What about the rumors that he is almost broke for having too many baby mamas?
I said it all along,.. a few bad years can really change a teams perception of a guy. Glad we took a chance. He’s been an incredible teammate this year and imo the third most important player. Going out to support the G-League affiliate is just one of the small things that really show how much he’s trying. The guys seem to really enjoy his personality and he’s not sulking when someone gets into him. Amazing turnaround

Doesn't seem like he's frugal with his money lol:
