With only one rest day between games, typical post play from DH will leave Jokic tired and bruised for later contests. It is much harder to make those three point shots when one's muscles are sore. If this series goes seven games, I don't expect Jokic to be as big of a factor at the end as he will be at the beginning.

Dwight guarding Jokic on the perimeter is something that the Nuggets would love to see. It would open up the middle for Jokic passes to cutters. Malone is too smart of a coach not to take advantage of that mismatch.

AD will probably have something to say about that.

AD isn’t Dwight.

Right. Both players can be on the floor at the same time. NBA rules allow for five players at a time.

Also, I did mention "post play" for DH not "perimeter play." Putting Howard on the perimeter is your idea not mine.

Dwight was benched for the entire Houston series. He didn’t pout, as he has done before in his career. He stayed ready, supported his teammates, and came into Game 1 making a huge impact. His growth is astounding. He has really earned my respect this year.

Narrator: They did not, in fact, love it.

I think he was a huge reason why we won. He got in their heads, foul trouble and it was over from there. AMazing. AMAZING.

I think he will ..... he looks like he's having a great time, and he has not had much success elsewhere. Almost drove himself out of the league. Too risky for him to leave us.

Dwight was great tonight. He got under Jokic's skin and was very active.

Yep, I much rather see McGee go.

Knew he was gonna win a game or two for us at some point, and as soon as the Nuggets beat the Clippers, knew it was happening against them. Hopefully he can bring the same impact another few games and help us take the series. Today was SPECTACULAR. That was honestly a condensed All-Star version of him for 20 minutes.

These throwback performances from him and Rondo have just been...what do they call it..."MANA FROM HEAVEN"

But yeah, I think most of us underestimated their playoff experience and what they could bring to the table in reduced roles when the game slows down and turns into a slugfest, plus you have time to gameplan for the same opponent and dial into their strengths/weaknesses.

Has a feeling the succession of bigs in Jokic (and foul trouble) would get the best of him. Dwight just brutalized him physically.

Hopefully Frank uses this game to FINALLY do what all of us here knew was the truth: JaVale needs to only come in when someone is in foul trouble or garbage time and Dwight needs to start and play more minutes. Share minutes between Dwight and Kief

We taught the Nuggets a lesson on many fronts tonight.

This matchup reminds me of 2009. In Orlando facing a team that had no reason being there.

Welp, Dwight is back and I’ve got a feeling he’s gonna win a ring this time.

Lets be real: we were a Courtney Lee layup away from losing Game 2 and Game 4 was perilously close to being lost. But I get your point: It never really felt we were in any real danger. To be fair only a healthy KG Boston would have challenged us at all. Had 66 win Cleveland made it, they would have been decisively beaten as well.
