To not chase Kawhi would've been irresponsible if they thought they had a shot. Moreover, if they hadn't stayed in the hunt, Clippers would've gotten KL while keeping all their picks plus SGA and Danilo.
D12 is all kinds of crazy, but there are a notable list of psychopaths with NBA Championshiip rings on their fingers.
If D12 nuts up, then it's next up. If he actually holds it together, we'll waltz to the Championship.
This is why NBA head coaches make millions - to get into the heads of guys like D12. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

I’m not happy, so I voted no, but I’m also not freaking out. I’d prefer Noah, but Howard is a decent gamble.
Agreed. I'm not wild about it, but it's not the end of the world if he doesn't work out and we have to cut him. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Not really happy about it. He thought he was hot (bleep) in 2012-2013, then runs to Houston away from the big lights of Hollywood. He experiences a lot of self-inflicted failure and goes on to multiple teams because no one wants him.
I was pumped for Boogie to get a chance here after seeing what he tried to do to help the Warriors. It changed my impression of him from when he was in Sacramento. He goes down in horrible fashion, so we ended up short selling ourselves to get Dwight Howard again, who promises that he’s not the same whiny (bleep) he was when he was here. A big hell no to this.
It’s almost worth hiring Kobe to just sit on Dwight every practice and game, saying “you’re soft, change my mind”. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview
Once a loser, always a loser. Not to mention a really bad guy in the locker room! If the Lakers accomplish anything of note this season it will be in spite of Coward's presence, not because of it.
The long game here is to keep AD happy so he resigns here, after the season
Then the Lakers an let Howard go and resign Cousins again. LoL _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

I'm not happy and it really has nothing to do with his first stint here and any hard feelings about how that went down. I don't even really have any objections as for his on court ability. He can still play well enough to be a backup 5.
There is just an overwhelming amount of evidence showing that he is a toxic teammate/locker room presence. And I don't think it's about him thinking he is "the man" or alpha dog on the team. I think he just gets on people's nerves and not a likeable guy and that stuff matters when you are trying to build a winning culture for a team.
Think about it, he has been jettisoned from like 5 teams and most of them were not even good teams. How unlikeable do you have to be where you can't even last a full season with a losing team?

No, but there is no choice when you sign up for LeGM and friends.
Anything they want is what goes. Pelinka is just there to execute on the numbers.
Dan Gilbert is a below average owner and some might say incompetent, but he wasn’t wrong with the “getting control of my team back” comment.
What does signing Dwight Howard have to do with LeBron James and Klutch Sports? Howard is not friends with LeBron nor is he a client of Rich Paul.
If LeBron James really was the GM of this team, we would have signed Carmelo Anthony and/or traded for Chris Paul.
Instead LeBron and Klutch just delivered us Anthony Davis, one of the best players in the league who is only 26 years old and much better than any of the players we drafted.
@Triumph why are you taking it as complete negative?
There are pros and cons to Klutch Angeles.
Pros:
Got a top 5 superstar to come
Veterans come to ring chase
Title contender despite a dysfunctional FO
Cons:
Trade away all the youth, leave a small window to win
Jason Kidd
Kawhi (and other superstars) doesn’t want to join Klutch’s team
KCP: cost of doing business with Klutch
This is the Klutch way. Pressure is on Lebron to win doing it his way tbh.

There is good and bad...
I really don't know what you're talking about. You make a post saying you don't like the Howard signing and start rambling off about "LeGM", which makes no sense. LeBron is not holding this team hostage. Otherwise we would have Ty Lue as the coach. The Lakers are making these moves and they are in control. Obviously they are trying to placate LeBron because he is the best player and the only player on the current roster to lead a team to a title so they are trying to add complementary pieces around him.
The fact that we had to settle for Howard and had slim pickings in terms of free agents this offseason had more to do with waiting for Kawhi Leonard. In hindsight, that was a mistake, but can't blame the FO (or LeBron and Klutch) for that. Can't blame them for Boogie's injury either. S*** happens, and now we have Dwight Howard.

They have said countless times that AD and Lebron are consulted about the moves.
I shouldn’t have responded. If you don’t believe it, go research what’s out there.
It’s pretty well known how the Lakers operate with Klutch.
Consulting your star players about roster additions is a far cry from LeBron and Klutch being the actual GM of the Lakers.
Rob Pelinka going to AD and LeBron asking, "Are you okay with Dwight Howard being on the team?" is not the same as LeBron/Klutch demanding that we go out and get Dwight Howard.
If you're upset about the Lakers getting rid of their young talent for a shot at a championship with James and AD, that's fine. But this is how the Lakers have operated long before James/Klutch ever got here. Lakers do not build their teams through the draft. They sign free agents/trade for star players.

I see no lies.
OK, I can see why this is confusing. The post I was mainly commenting on was his post before that one.
The one about signing Dwight Howard was because of LeBron/Klutch. That doesn't make sense.

Okay that sounds fair... Other than in the general sense that they have significant input on personnel decisions.

Nice backtrack. Klutch was consulted about Noah, Speights and Howard. You make it seem like Lebron threatened the organization. The point is most decisions are made in partnership with Klutch. Happens everywhere Lebron goes. Educate yourself on Klutch.
If you want to attack, get your facts straight first.
This is just you wanting to attack so it’s a waste of time.
I'm even less certain of why Dwight would wanna come back here. Remember that one fan who got on his nerves as he walked out of Staples a few years ago? That was just one fan, I dunno why he'd wanna come back to where many fans hated him. Is he a glutton for punishment or what? Masochist? Just please stay in the background as much as possible, Dwight. Either that or play well. Redeem yourself. This isn't gonna be the same role he had in 2013, he has his 2nd chance not to eff up a 2nd role. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
Dwight was the best center available on the market. We have two priorities this season. Win a Championship and do everything we can to have Anthony Davis resign next season.
Getting a true C keeps Anthony Davis in his preferred position...PF.
LeBron makes players better...if he can do that to Dwight...we are solid at C. _________________ A three headed monster... Jeannie, Pelinka, and Ham... another terrible season.
