Nope, because people are locked in to what the media has been feeding them all year. |
You're definitely right. And now even the media is starting to change their tune. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

He has, but let's not pretend that that Spurs squad wasn't A+ even without Kawhi. |

Well, if so, I'm here to help, you see some of the Lakers fans you call "fake" are actually intelligent, logically minded individuals, that look at the two games the Lakers have LOST to the Clippers in a realistic manner.
The Lakers lost the first game of the season to them and the Clipp's were without PG, their second best player. The Christmas game was closer but it still resulted in a Laker loss. And the rescheduled game, as the third game in three days for the Lakers, does not inspire any level of confidence of a win either.
If the Lakers end up facing the Clippers in the playoffs, down 0-4 or even 1-3 , with no real perceived HCA (Home Court Advantage) it will be a problem, and no chest pumping or name calling is gonna change that fact...!
So perhaps you can holster some of the Harlem - World Wide Wresting bravado and stop calling Laker fans that make decisions based in reality "Fake"! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

Right. I’m saying that the team was A+ even if we don’t count him. I know he was part of the team. |

I think PG & Pat being out has really hurt them and their on court chemistry.
& they had a back up PG starting in his 1st game with the team.
While I do think Moe was a much better piece than Morris will be...I also think they will start getting their footing once PG comes back.
They're a good team, not nearly as good as their owner has paid off BSPN to make them out to be, but they are a good team.
The key to their team IMO is still Trez. You find a way to stop him and it doesn't matter if they're healthy or not. Doc hides him purposely so he gets a lot of minutes against 2nd units when he is definitely a starter level player.
Doc won't be able to do that as easily in the POs when 1st team minutes increase. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

The reality you speak of is quite subjective.
We're 0 for 2 in the RS...not down 0-2 in a playoff match up.
We have to beat this team for our own confidence, but the other team at staples isn't the only team we have to do that to.
Boston
Mil
Phil
Hou
Are all teams we need to send a reply to as well.
We have some work to do...being worried about anyone other that ourselves won't get that accomplished. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

Should we meet the clippers in the playoffs, I think every player understands the importance of going to battle against these jerk offs... Except honestly... Kuz. I'm sorry but I just don't think he gets the team concept. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Rondo pops him in The head if he's coasting in a Lakers clippers post season match-up. |

You do know that Kuz is one of the few that showed up against the clips on Christmas game right. Kuz scored 25pts and a +10 that game. |

You know for a team considered to be better defensively than the Lakers i think the Lakers have more guys who can play d. Of course AC helps alot with that as the media really wasnt paying attention to him. |

Being 0-2 is NOT subjective - it's a FACT (one which can be verified).
Being 0-3 or 0-4 is simply a possible scenario, again it's not subjective.
Now, I HOPE they can beat them in the playoffs, I have a FEELING that they can beat them in the playoffs, and losing all four games during the season STILL does not mean the Lakers cannot beat them in the playoffs.
But, at this "exact moment in time" with the loss of 2 games and 2 games still to be played, you can be as subjective as your heart desires, while I prefer to look at historical trends to make my predictive analysis.

Personally I throw away the season opener and now also the rescheduled game late in the year.
That leaves the Xmas day game and the upcoming game on 3/8 as the most representative of Lakers/Clippers matchup imo. |

What's subjective is your interpretation of that fact and attempting to extrapolate it to post season outcomes...but we both know you already knew that.
falling down 0-3 or 0-4 is speculative just as saying we'll end the season 1-3 or 2-2 is.
My feeling is that the other team in staples is heavily reliant on Trez. We win that matchup and we win the game and series.
during the RS Doc can run Trez up against the 2nd units more than he will be able to in the POs...this is just a theory. But that it will make Trez look more like a damn good starter and not the all-star he currently looks like on the stat sheet. But we'll see.
We held a lead in both games. We coughed that up in both games for different reasons. We lost both games.
I think we agree too...but I think your response to Harlem was over the top. Doc Rivers takes exceptional pride in beating us and knows how to get his teams to play against us like it's a game 7 every time...we have to match that energy for 48 minutes...if we can learn to do that we will be champions...if we don't we won't.
It's that simple to me...but what the F do I know? _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

Agreed. Specifically the March game since those will be the rosters going into the playoffs. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Just noticed that the 4/9 game against the Slippers is the final game in a back-to-back-to back. Hopefully we are clear enough by that time to be resting Bron and AD for that game so as to not show our hand heading into the postseason and to give them time to recover from the battle that March will be. |

The gap is now 6.5 (and 7 in the loss column).
When Lebron went down, grabbing his leg/groin area, I was not fazed. I just used some baby wipes, changed my underwear and kept it moving.
Injuries are the Wildcard, of course, but in a best 12 v. best 12 matchup, I still think the Lakers take them in 6. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |
