Feels like Ballmeeer waited to see how the Nuggets competed against the Lakers before deciding on firing Doc. Doc has had some bad luck here and there, but also had just some horrible losses. Everyone respects him as a person. Seemed like a no brainer to move on though. Doc becomes the top coach free agent. That rep is probably not deserved.
Funny how all the things both fans and media said that the Lakers would fire Vogal by all star break for Kidd or after disappointment in the playoffs, happens to the Clippers.
Frank Vogel has as many playoff series wins with the Lakers as Doc Rivers had with Clippers. Rivers had seven years with the Clippers.
Not getting out of the 2nd round with prime CP3, prime Blake and prime DJ was a fireable offense as it was it. Just a terrible, terrible coach. Great guy, terrible coach. _________________ KOBE

I think the gap between the Lakers is easy to summarize. The Clippers have the best roster the Lakers have the best team. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

They'll probably just promote Lue to head coach.
On a side note, shouldn't someone give Nick Van Exel a shot at a head coaching gig? He's still an assistant in Memphis, right?
Not that I want to see Nick the Quick coach the clippers 🤮
Some people on Twitter are saying Uncle Dennis is calling the shots. Lol _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

He was my dude in what could have been a dark time, any other than this.
I'd like to see Doc go coach the Pelicans, lot of ex-Lakers there... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
Big things will be changing for the FLippers, but I seriously cannot see who would want that job. #2 and George Paul are a couple of next level divas and the organization seems to be cursed.

About time the 3-1 GOAT got canned. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Candidates will line up for that job. If you get right down to it, how many great jobs are ever available in the NBA? 75% of the teams have issues, and the other 25% have entrenched coaches. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved
Oh, I hear ya! I got nothing but love for Nick. He deserves a shot at being an NBA head coach.
Been watching his recent interview on knuckleheads. Nick's has some great stories! From rookie Kobe to being a connoisseur of ice coffee. Lol!

Oh, I know they will. I just can't imagine who would want to coach them in a town that really wants nothing to do with them.
