Goes 5-19 shooting. |
If the Spurs doctors are to be believed, and there's no reason why they shouldn't, Kawhi won't have two healthy knees ever again. |
wait so they said that yet pressured him to try to play |
It's a degenerative condition, it will never be healthy. The Spurs were annoyed he took all year off though. He played some games in December, looked decent, then didn't take the court again. |
Yeah, it showed greatly last year as well.. He went from looking good most of the season when he got games off but once the playoffs rolled around he looked like he was shell of his self by the end of the finals with those final 2-3 games looking more like a decoy then anything else.
It's going to be interesting this season since George is probably going to be very rusty when ever he does finally return next month and Kawhi is going to still have to miss games im sure. They could fall in a hole real quick if the supporting cast doesnt absolutely play out of there minds for at least the first month or two.
On top of that if the Lakers come out and and dominate against there favorable schedule to start while the Clippers are struggling that is going to put that locker room to a test because the media is going to be relentless with the questions.
Still a ton of different directions the season can go real quick but as of right now if i'm the Lakers I am def. feeling good. Most of all, I loved seeing how they struggled greatly against size. |

No Beverly, no PG, no Lou... ya'll are overreacting to a bad game. Just as we have size advantage, they have a perimeter advantage. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. |

The problems i saw last night none of those players will solve. Their perimeter D is going to be amazing but 1) they have no playmakers all isolation plays 2) no height |

Does Kawhi have a better supporting cast in LA than he did in Toronto?
Guards: Lou/Shamet/Beverly v Lowry/Green/Van Vleet
Bigs: Zubac/Montrezl v Gasol/Ibaka
Wings: George/Harkless v Siakam/Powell
Coach: Rivers v Nurse |

Watching Kristaps totally annihilate Zubac and Montrezz last night got me thinking what is AD, Javale, And Dwight gonna do? |

The Lakers can't match up. I dont even know why we're playing the games. It's so obvious. |

Clippers can't match up and it looks pretty obvious. The combination of LeBron AD and Javale is the most dominant trio in the league.I don't see any team being able to match up with it to be honest.AD's interior passing has really surprised me.He never misses Javale for an easy dunk. |

1. AD has never had a teammate that legit demanded a double team. Maybe Boogie, but I don't think teams usually doubled him on a nightly basis.
2. AD never had a lob finisher like JAV or even Dwight at the center spots. His bigs were mostly groundbound.
AD is going to be such a delight to watch this year. Clips will have to tinker with their roster to find someone who can even keep up with AD. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

No. The Raptors boasted an elite defense even with Kawhi out the lineup and have been a perennial 50 win team for years. This Clipper team without Kawhi is a tier below. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Yeah, that Raptors team is without question better imo especially being able to play without him. If George comes back and plays as good or better then last season and Kawhi magically becomes a great distributor as well along with a few of the role players stepping up and having career years then there's a possibility but i'm not seeing it on paper or the tiny bit of pre-season action (which i know means next to nothing but it's all we have for now). There's a chance George might not look like last seasons version for the entire season or at least a good chunk of it.
I will say it's going to be a crazy season with so many question marks for both teams but at the end of the day it's going to come down to the obvious which is health and how well each roster meshes together. One of the big reasons people were taking the Clippers over the Lakers was due to more guys returning but imo the Lakers are already looking like a team that understands all there roles and meshes together beautifully. |

If he wasn’t their first choice, possible.
If he has another bad playoff, I would say more likely to be traded than not but that’s during offseason. |

The only reason I can think Paul George would be traded is if he doesn't recapture full range of movement after his two shoulder surgeries. Otherwise I don't see why they would |

I hope they implode strictly for the Ballmer excessive media propaganda.
Quote: | Isola got this quote from an anonymous Western Conference scout regarding AD "It’s not like he’s said he loves it in LA & wants to spend the rest of his career there,” scout said. “Imagine if this doesn’t work out this season. There are no guarantees”
Is that a Clippers scout? |

The "anonymous Western Conference scout" is Ballmer himself |

I’m thinking if they want a big to match up with AD. Can’t think of who but maybe they want to go bev/sham/KL and use PG to get a larger big man. It sounds impossible right but a PG\montrezz package could get you quite a return IMO. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I don’t think they are ready to get away from the 2 elite wings roster construct for now. They probably will try and package Somali/Harrell for a big man if they are getting abused on the interior.
But to your point, if they lose to say the Lakers, Jazz or Nuggets the narrative will be “oh we need a big” and at that point playoff P could be used as the scapegoat especially if they think his shoulders are shot. The new age clippers are ruthless and will trade your ass. Similar to Boston/IT. |

They'll be a contender in the playoffs. My one concern about them is health, which is the same concern I have with the Lakers
First step for both teams is staying healthy, if they're healthy they'll make the playoffs. Then we'll see |

They say this but then every other word from that organization is a dig at the Lakers and the rest is “we are awesome, please love us LA!”
