There's a lot of Rondo slander on this forum but honestly, I'm warming up to him running the show. He was very useful on both the Celtics and Pelicans when he had playmakers around him and he was able to use his incredible vision and passing to set up opportunities. Davis would also tremendously benefit from it as would Lebron as he would not have to expend so much energy.
The Lebron and Rondo splitting thing should never happen. Lebron needs to learn how to move without the ball a bit and Rondo running the show would help. |

I think Rondo has a place on the 2nd unit, not the 1st. Remember how we got out to a lead in the 1st Q.
When we had to sit LBJ then we had no playmaker out there. Rondo could help fill some of that void. Together, Rondo would make that spacing even worse for AD/LBJ. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

We started the game well.
We had issues when we started staggering the lineup.
And obviously we could not close out.
I think Rondo would do decently as a backup guard. |

Threads like these are one of the many reasons I wish the Lakers had moved on from Rondo. _________________ Under New Management |

Bradley did well. He is playing good defense and takes the open 3, can sometimes create his own shot.
What we need is Lebron to pound the ball less and get into the offense sooner. That's all. Seems yesterday we took a bit too long to get some sets going. Didn't run pick and rolls too much either.
I wouldn't judge a Lebron as a PG lineup until we saw more screen/rolls with him and the bigs. It was a lot of Lebron feeding AD the ball, Kobe to Shaq style. It was not a role Lebron has ever played before in his career, in terms of feeding the ball to a big like that and stepping way back. It's Kobe's role .... and I would give it some time before I abandoned it.
All I'd do is make sure that Lebron gets involved more, with more screen/rolls as a ballhandler. And Lebron needs to make his layups. He's been missing many.
Rondo is badly needed on the 2nd unit. So is Kuzma. If yesterday didn't show that, nothing will. |

Rondo or caruso in second unit.
Bradley played well but we will need a secondary playmaker with starters going forward I think. Cook could be that guy because hes a scorer that can at times create his own shot. If not I'd give caruso a try with the starters. Caruso plays better when he has talent around him. |

Then what is bron gonna do? he doesnt have the skillset to go out and stretch the floor for the 2 bigs, unless he is dominating the ball he is ineffective |

Lebron is a good enough passer but didn't show it last night. Careless turnovers in the worst of times is what did us in. Killed momentum.
We need a facilitator who is much quicker in getting the offense started. |

Vogel just talked about 25-30 minutes for Rondo when he gets back. We ain't moving on from him. Get ready to see more of him. Damn it Kyrie. What if the Lakers paid all their attention and love to Kyrie instead of KL? I mean we did ship Lonzo away after all. |
