Too much kuz
Also the let’s feature JaVale offense. Not the best strategy.
I didn't realize Javale was such a scrub. Last season made me think he was an MLE level center (we gave him two years, 8.2 million total.) _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Nick Nurse is a great coach. He assembled Leonard, Green and a Gasol quickly to championship and develop young Siakam championship starter, undrafted VanVleet to championship 6-7th man. This year, even with the departure of FMVP and a starter, he leads the Raptors stay as one of the force as far. Great coach indeed!
Still, 2 horrible out of bounds plays in crunch time resulting in a shot clock violation. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I rather McGee take a shot right under the basket that is usually uncontested than watching someone shoot a 3 or mid-range contested shot. We are a very, very good paint team. Maybe the best in the league. We have to take advantage of it. I understand McGee botches some plays and it looks awkward. However he was not the reason the Lakers lost yesterday. Until he was in the game, it was within reach and we held our own. We took a lead closing the first half, a significant one playing big. We lost this game when AD was at the 5, and Kuzma came in to defend 4s. McGee and Davis are doing better together as the season has developed.
Keep KCP taped to the bench. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Vogel is a really good coach. That's all I'll say. Top 5? No. Top 10, maybe. But he's showing he;'s capable of coaching a team with championship expectations, creating a defensive culture, and implementing an offense quickly and effectively. I'm seeing better execution, sets, and out of bounds plays that we never see with Luke in years.
Coach Vogel sees something differently: he inserted KCP to starting lineup when Bradley was injured. And he inserted Caruso when Green was in foul trouble tonight.
Funny, with Bradley, Lebron and Green, then Davis being able to move out and contest at the perimeter, the Lakers perimeter defense is the best it has been in years. Outside of Kyle Kuzma and Cook, I do not think we have any defenders that look "suck" as a perimeter defender.
The issue is strategy or what we are willing to give up and rotations being too late. The identity of this team is to protect the basket at all costs, and then to cover the shooters. I am sure come playoffs, if we played a great 3 point shooting team, Frank would make some adjustments to his basic defensive principles.
Think about this. Yesterday Devin Booker had almost no 3 point shots until late in the game. He did not even get to attempt one. We were not allowing him to get shots off, and our tactics were to force him to drive. That is elite defensive planning and talent. Green and Caruso executed the plan well.
Problem is if you focus in on Devin and help inside, when bigs can shoot, you are likely leaving them open to go help on those guards driving inside. This is what we were doing. Certainly some adjustments have to be made, especially by guys like McGee, and even AD. Close out on the shooting big right away. Dwight plays them best. He stands right in the middle where he can be a factor in helping on the guard with some late help, or a late contest of the big man shot. McGee was just standing in the back praying Baynes and their bigs miss. AD has to do what Dwight does as well. Dwight is easily our smartest positional defender. AD is the most talented and skilled. I want to see more lineups where we have Dwight, AD, Lebron out there. When Lebron rests, Kuzma. Bradley or Caruso at the guard spot to defend the opposing teams best guard. These teams do not know what will hit them when we have talent like that out there.
Nah... thats a terrible play. [numbers wise]. I rather have Cook or Daniels running that play and letting a 3 fly.
That you, D'antoni? _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."

Is that you D'antoni? Lol originally I would agree with you if Cook or Daniels was a knock down 3 point shooter, but neither of them are and I trust Bradley's midrange way more.

Yeah. Cook/Daniels are standstill shooters. You don't want them shooting off the dribble like that.
