Quote:
Paul George: 'We're still in the driver seat. It's not a panic mode'

Uhhh, dude, maybe you should be in panic mode. The only thing you're saving your energy for at this point is fishing.

Quote:
WE ARE IN IT TO WIN IT

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO

Quote:
We catch a break: Will Barton's not playing tonight.

Quote:
I’m calling it. George has a bad shooting game, Denver takes the lead going to 4th but starts playing not to lose. Lou Will gets hot, Clips tighten the defense, Kawhi with dagger pull ups, Clips win.

Quote:
Clips will handle their business.

Quote:
Tonight is our Super Bowl. It is that important.

Quote:
Kawhi won't let us lose.. Lets Go! We got this!

Quote:
I just get scared now seeing Trez and Landry on yne floor

Quote:
as i say that montrez gets the ball in the paint, bobbles it, and turns it over

fantastic

Quote:
Playoff P is taking the night off

Quote:
What scares me isn't even the score, it's the fact that zero adjustments were made. You'd think Doc would be coaching for his job right now, but instead it's like he knows his job is secure no matter what, so he doesn't have to change anything.

Quote:
A good momentum push a long way to go

Quote:
Low-key hoping we don't get TOO big of a lead.

Quote:
I’m so happy we have the best player on the floor

Quote:
Murray is killing us. Fight on though

Quote:
horrible and merciful end to the half. i mean there's no way we aren't in a decently sized hole if there is still 5 more minutes to play in the 2nd quarter.

awful lineup to end it. i'm so over this.

Quote:
I wonder if Murray can keep this up for an entire game, I don’t think so but obviously it could still happen

Quote:
Doc is being an idiot again. Green lineup was working, he decides to go back to trezz.

Quote:
I've never seen a team in more desperate need of an actual coach than this one. Seriously, just imagine what they'd look like with Spo or Stevens. It's depressing.

Quote:
I am starting to resign myself that it’s going to a close ending which basically means 50/50...

Quote:
We are playing in an empty stadium, but ironically could you imagine the silence now if it was a full stadium in LA???

Quote:
Team looks defeated since giving up the big lead

Quote:
Need a miracle

Quote:
Kawhi has been trash in this game so far. He's got a whole quarter to redeem himself tho

Quote:
it's not exactly grim but it's gonna get there if kawhi doesn't start hitting his shots.

Quote:
This is absolutely pathetic, gutless basketball.

Quote:
I'm turning this game off. You guys let me know if they win tonight. Terrible coaching, our superstars are not showing up. I'm an atheist but I'm going to go and pray

Quote:
And they lose. Hope this will be the last minutes of Doc's coaching tenure.

Quote:
Grand opening, grand closing

Quote:
The most depressing part is that we as fans really don't deserve this. We deserve real success for once in our lives, not this pathetic embarrassment. I don't even care about the players' legacies, I care about the people who suffered through the Sterling era, the Lob City meltdowns, only to be "rewarded" with this. It's incredibly unfair.

Quote:
I believe in curses

Quote:
Even with a new coach (assuming Doc actually gets fired), I'm scared of what next season is going to look like. This team is going to be the absolute laughingstock of professional sports, which they deserve to be, but I'm worried that it's going to mess with their heads and drag down their level of play all season.

Quote:
Trash ass franchise.

Quote:
Paul George had quite the playoffs

Quote:
What a waste of a season but it was clear early favoritism and leadership would possibly cost us

I wanna hear some more Saltiness about the Lakers in the WCF and They are out sitting at home.

I wanna hear about what they were saying in the offseason when they got Kawhi and PG13

how they thought it was their year and how they were supposed to take LA away from the Lakers, but here we are.

Man, must be tough having to feel this way after all those great seasons watching Keith Closs and Brent Barry tear it up.

It's just not something Clipper f...f...faaaaaan...ah I can't say it, the people who have the unfortunate task of watching them, are used to.

Lob City had way more heart with Prime CP3, Blake and DeAndre than these gutless fakes ever displayed. 2012 Clippers were the real best shot to get to the WCF and maybe Finals winning a chip.

The modern concept of “load management” is one that baffles Kobe Bryant. Bryant says healthy NBA players have a duty to perform for paying customers “every single night.” For The Black Mamba, the refusal to sit out games (even when his body was screaming for him to do so) was a simple matter of competitive pride. Will always love him for this. Every time I saw him live, he put on an absolute show. Never once had to worry if he wouldn’t show up or if he’d miss a game. Always knew - like clockwork.

Kawhi beat the east and got to the finals after Lebron took his talents to the western conference. And then he proceeded to barely beat a west team without Durant and Klay. How quickly everyone tried to take Lebron's crown.

Kawhi please disinfect and leave the crown at the front desk before you leave.

from r/laclippers thread called "DEPRESSION/COLLAPSE ROOM"

link for when they unprivate the sub https://old.reddit.com/r/LAClippers/comments/ito0m6/depressioncollapse_room/

Quote:
I am (bleep) depressed, man.

Honestly, I shouldn't even let sports get to me. It's literally meant to be entertainment. My personal life and all your personal lives are more important than any sports teams.

I need to get a good career and work on finding a good relationship. Those are the two most important things for me to work on and the Clippers losing or winning should not affect that in any way.

Quote:
I'm numb. Unfeeling right now. This is now my most painful sports memory. I thought losing another Super Bowl to Tom Brady couldn't be topped but I'll be damned if the Clips didn't pull it off

Quote:
I can’t believe it like they really disappointed us like this. I never thought it would be Kawhi bro. Like I swear we didn’t want to play

^^^ I can actually hear this moron's accent and dip (bleep) cadence in his speech when I read this. lmaooo

Quote:
I'm not even mad or sad, I'm just broken. That Murray banked 3 in game 5 was the moment PTSD kicked in and I knew. As much as I hoped, we could not survive Doc's rotations.

We have watched and have known the problem, I'm now changing my tune. Doc has to go, not on his time now!!! The team gave up on him 2 games in a row in the 2nd half.

We can come up with lack of practice and injuries for lack of cohesion. But there is no excuse. If all this pain leads to Doc being gone and Trez then it is worth it.

My fear is neither will happen, or we let Trez walk without getting some assets back.

I can't believe I'm saying this but give me MDA (bleep) it.

Priceless. I remember that false bravado back in October. Talk about a team that bought into the media hype and acted accordingly. (bleep) them. Things will only get tougher for them next year and they mortgaged their future far harder than we did for more mediocre players. KL and PG are not in the same tier as LBJ & AD.

someone posted this

Quote:
Clipper ships were extremely fast sailing ships developed primarily
by the United States between the 1830's and 1860's. Clippers' did not have
a final definition written in stone, but did share certain characteristics
such as a sharp hull (designed for speed, not for cargo capacity) and a
heavy and lofty square rig.

The origin of the clipper is debatable. Some believe that it was
descended from the French frigate of the late 1700's. Other's believe that
it originated from the early Baltimore clipper's. It is highly probable
that it was designed by many ship builders who combined their experience.

The first American clippers like the Rainbow and the Sea Witch, were
built in New York for tea trades to China. A few years later, the
California Gold Rush was the major concern of such ships. One of the
fastest clipper was the Flying Cloud, which, on her maiden voyage, was the
first ship to sail from New York, around the Cape Horn, and to San
Francisco in under 90 days. By this time period, Yankee ship builders were
building clipper ships for the British, who dominated the rote to
Australia. One of these such people was Donald McKay, who built the James
Baines. Unfortunately, the James Baines ended in a fire at Liverpool.
Later, McKay would build another ship, known as Lightening for James
Baines. The Lightening would race the Red Jacket, a vessel built by George
Thomas. These two ships raced, and the Red Jacket logged 2,020 nautical
miles in six days.

These ships were once great. Now we have larger, stronger, and faster
ships. Once great clippers are now nothing but museum exhibits. The old let
to the new. Even on the ocean, this law follows.

i don't know why but it's (bleep) killing me
