Haha. Generally but in response to someone who brought up stats you just happened to make a general statement about what type of fans like stats?
A poster was just suspended in the past few pages for doing this. Kept saying “Bryant Fans” etc. Doubt adding “lifelong” suddenly makes it innocuous and generic.
The exact warning was “stop talking about who is what kind of fan”. When you reply to someone who brings up stats, with a general statement about what kind of fans bring up stats, that’s what they’re trying to curtail. |
You're making this very meta right now.
If Omar or CL have a problem with my general depiction of Lakers, LA, and Lebron fans. I'm sure they will tell me.
I'm talking about an idea. Not a poster. And I didn't say caring about stats is worse than caring about chips. You're making this about a poster. I'm not.
Lonzo fans cared about defense and playmaking. Ingram fans cared about length and two way wing play. None of these statements are attacking a poster. |
Ahem.
Hoping we can move on now and get back to discussing these two greats we are so fortunate enough to have and have had on our team! |

In that case Jerry West more GOAT.
Rah rah rah... |
Check this out.
Lebron gets to 9 finals in the East.
"Lebron is the GOAT!"
Lebron loses 6 finals when finally playing a legit WC team.
"It's a team game. Did you expect him to win it all on his own?" |
People also never bring up Duncan’s 5-1 record and proclaim him greater than Kobe.
Because finals record means nothing. As I have been saying. Haha. |
He is. Wanna start that thread? |
Hahaha. Can. Of. Worms. Honestly, my answer remains the same. It depends. I think they’re awfully close in terms of accomplishments but I am partial to guard play so if forced to choose I’d almost always yield to the guard. |

Pls do so. See where the Dream and Bron will be based on the criteria.
|
My criteria isn’t based on rings. I’ve always noted I’d likely pick every arguable top 10 big (Russell, Cap, Wilt, Shaq, Duncan and Dream) over every wing except for Magic/Bird/LeBron because they can be bigs or wings (versatility). I don’t think I’d need to surround them with as much to win.
But I do have Cap as the best ever.... |

That’s interesting Dreamshake that you tend to favor bigs.
When you say favor, what is your criteria? Favor based on what?
I typically go with guards when picking based on who is more skilled.
But if I have to build a team, maybe I go with a big, because they tend to be more rare. |

ha ha ha. nice try on your first paragraph.
You can say whatever you want, we know you cannot afford to mention one name that has been and is till mentioned by the likes of Larry Bird, MJ, Shaq, and Magic and even Hakeem and Bron himself.
Keep going. It is getting more and more refreshing.
You see what is so funny, MY CRITERIA. _________________ Kobe's Top 5 Dunks, 81 points, MJ last gm @Staples |

The article was written before Bryant went 17-65, the worst season in Lakers history. He took more shots than anyone on the team, shot the worst FG% of anyone on the team - and blamed everyone else.
Now that we have LeBron, things are looking up.

I dont think guys who have Lebron shrines were Lakers fans prior (or still aren't)? Obviously, speaking in general terms. |
Obviously:) |

I think Magic has gladly said several times he even considers Kobe to be top Laker. over himself. But Magic kind of always talks like that. Still...if you want to hear something very sincere, put on your headphones and listen to what Magic says to Kobe before he gives his retirement speech. Or find my transcription of it here somewhere with the useless search feature. |

He said Kobe was his favorite but that Lebron is “by far” the best player in the league.
That’s basically how I put it. Haha. |

My bad.
You see Simon's face when Bird says "Kobe" when asked who he would choose to play with?
"If you want to have fun, Lebron. But if you want to win, Kobe."
Ouch...
Luckily Simon did not ask :"So, do you want to have fun or to win?" _________________ Kobe's Top 5 Dunks, 81 points, MJ last gm @Staples |

Yeah, when was it? But still funny that Bird would prefer the other. Seems like a contradiction. _________________ Kobe's Top 5 Dunks, 81 points, MJ last gm @Staples |
