He could always take over McKie's spot on the bench
*my bad... he wasn't even there long enough to register in my mind _________________ The game's in the Refrigerator. The door's closed, the light's are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the jello's jiggling!

He'd be worth looking at down the line as a cost-effective reserve pickup -- probably during the summer.
But he's not ready to play now, and might not be for the rest of the season.
personally, if Detroit doesn't get him first, I'd rather pick up a guy like Delk for the stretch run. _________________ BORN REBLE |

All I know is if Mitch even calls him or breathes his name, he will go to the Heat. |

Don't breath his name too close to Penny or you'll break him. I hear that's all it takes to injure him these days. |

Not only would that be hilarious, but it would make me want to watch every Heat game for the whole season. There's less chance of Penny and Shaq being on the same team than there is a Shaq-Kobe sex tape being released. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

I heard he wasn't waived but that he was actually traded to Shady Acres rest home. _________________ "It's all about the beer" |

Asked about his willingness to contribute to the Shady Acres Geriatrics
off the bench, Penny replied, "that Depends." |

Yep that is Penny. He is probably worried about Granny not giving up the rock. _________________ "It's all about the beer" |

we already have one broken down veteran so I don't see why we'd need another one |

in all honestly though, i wouldn't mind bringing in penny. we could hopefully prolong his career like we did Harp. IMO penny would be a perfect big PG in the TRI, he was one of my favorite players in the late 90's. _________________ "When (Kobe) gets you on life support, he won't give you mouth to mouth. Penny is a very good passer. It might not be a bad idea if he can still play. It would be a bit ironic to have Penny follow Shaq's path to L.A. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. I'd be for a Penny signing, LA needs a guy to backup McKie on the IR when he comes back.
EDIT: dopeykai, I totally apologise, I scrolled down to see if anyone else said this yet, and missed the topic post! My bad.

Here are a few 2 guards I wouldn't mind us having a look at:
Latrell Sprewell- but will he take the limited minutes, and the limited role?
Penny Hardaway- is a very good bench when healthy, but when will he ever be healthy, plus i've heard he's not too good in the lockerroom
Wesely Person- great shooter, won't complain under limited minutes, but will Denver sign him?
Charles Smith- this is a guy that I like, he may be a guy some have never heard of, but I I wouldn't mind getting him for the vet minimum if Denver releases him
Marcus Fizer- another guy who can shoot well, and wants a chance, but is he more of a 3 than a 2?
Fred Hoiberg- this guy can shoot as well, plus he can produce in limited minutes, and is a great character guy, not to mention him and Ronny have been through the same things
Kerry Kittles- this is a guy that I am surprised is still a FA, but he can produce well of the bench, he's been solid through his whole career, and can offer us some much needed vet experience
Glenn Robinson- thought I throw this out, he has veteran experience, can make shots, plays a solid game, and he won't demand big $, but can he play the 2?
