I'm all about improving the team, but I don't think the Lakers are in the market for a backup SG (as long as everyone stays healthy). Come playoff time, the Lakers are going to go to more of an 8 man rotation with Sasha, George and Cook off the bench, and maybe Bynum spairingly. I'm just being realistic on what Jackson will likely do. Think that Smush plays 30 mpg, Sasha with the remaining 18 at the point. Then you play George behind Kobe when he needs a break and you get a few minutes out of George. We all know LA needs to play George more in his contract year, and the only way he doesn't take the minutes behind Kobe is if they need a quicker guy like Sasha. You could pick up a guy now, but I don't see how they get into the rotation come playoff time. Even when McKie does become available, how does he take George's minutes away? |

I would like to have Penny instead of McKie. The Magic could become like our farm system lol. |

Yay.
Penny. McKie. Armstrong.
Let's bring back Divac, make a trade for Jalen Rose.
Let's load up with guys too old to care about learning a complex system
for a team that won't win anything before they retire (yes, Phil bringing
in older vets works when we're on the bring of a championship, but it
ain't the same when we're a hair over .500). |
