Was thinking about this earlier, the city edition uniforms make sense.
The Lakers want to show “LAKERS” as much as possible and remind people of their rich history.
The Clippers are attempting to slowly move away from “Clippers” and are using “Los Angeles” as much as possible in a desperate attempt to get LA to accept them as a legitimate home team.

| I wish we had gotten a little more creative. They look like the Walmart version of a regular jersey. The idea is you reference/honor your city in some way and the Lakers just reference... Their own jerseys. |

| honestly Lakers need some more creativity from their marketing department, they continually cater to their season ticket base and the fans that lean on the history of the team. They totally neglect the younger generation that Balmer is targeting and will make headway with in the future if the Lakers dont change their ways, I am older fan and I see that. The game day experience at the Lakers game hasnt changed since 1985 they need to modernize and capture the younger crowd or honestly the Clippers are going to chip away at the fan base in LA |

For real. Literally every single thing the Lakers do "honors their past." That base has been covered. There's an infinity of art/motifs connected to Los Angeles and the Lakers just roll out a slightly different font. |

Nets fans are mad that their beautiful “Biggie” inspired city jerseys are tarnished with the “Bed-Stuy” on the front. lol. They are asking if Williamsburg is next. 😝
The Biggie sweater design in the sides are 🔥🔥🔥. At least they tried something different. |
