Looks like the end for a Laker Legend. Looking forward to seeing #16 in the rafters.

While I would love to see this happen what are the chances the Buss family retire his #?

Is that a trick question?

Pau's First Game - Check out the immediate chemistry between KB and PG

Do you remember how stoked you were, watching this game? My outlook on the season and next 3-4 years went from ho hum to holy crap, this could be a dynasty. The game itself was exhilarating because Pau seemed to find his groove almost immediately, as you've said.

You guys remember the game before? The announcement of the trade had already happened and Kobe was absolutely doing backflips. The elation on his face during that game was palpable. Dude was running around with his hands apart pretending he was an airplane after every nice play.

Yeah man. A few years back I had to go downtown to show up for a red light ticket that had become a failure to appear x3 + bench warrant. $1385 down the tubes is a serious bummer for anybody. I was thinking about how lean I was going to have to live for the week until my next paycheck. Thought about asking for community service hours in lieu of settling up. Judge calls my name, says LA city red light camera tickets are no longer enforced, and dismisses my ticket and my fines. After the shock subsided on the walk back to my car, I leapt into the air, I forget how many times, giggled "yes....yes!"

That was the most tremendous stroke of day-to-day fortune in my life up to that point and it was majestic. It's how I imagine Kobe must have felt after he'd found out that the FO swindled some absolute dickhead into helping us flip Kwame prisonface Brown into Dr. Pau Gasol II de Aragon.
