AD has a ways to go to have me choose him over Karl Malone. And while we're at it, he ain't better than Barkley either..... NOT YET.
That’s fine, the reality for us fortunately is that AD is gonna be competing for championships in the next decade while Malone and Barkley have 0 championship rings between them, I’m fine if Malone and Barkley are better individual players then Davis, what matters the most is the championship because it proves you are a winner.

Since Davis beat both Dwight and KG already, let's try Malone.
So tough.
KM had Johnny. I wonder how much of their playtypes were PNR.
I think KM was a great interior defender, in terms of positioning. But AD gets you blocks. And I'm not sure KM can handle defending the perimeter, which he didn't have to do a lot of in the 90s (sorry, I'm going off of memory).

But if AD had to stay alpha in one location for most of career like CB and KM, he would be ringless too. John Stockton is nice, but those guys never had the LeBron of their time, which would be MJ, as teammates. Instead, they faced him in the finals.
Luck and timing has a lot to say about a players career narrative. Unfortunately for the likes of CB, KM, Ewing, etc., It just so happens the GOAT was their opstical.
ad of course. defense and better all around player!! malone had one of the best point guards and still could not win a title. give ad steph curry to play with and he would have 2 championships by now!!

Not if they played the Bulls team the Jazz did, in my opinion. Steph Curry with Jordan or Pippen guarding him? AD is good but I can't him carrying the team to a title if Curry is neutralized (I'm assuming this without Lebron?)
AD. I don't think Malone would be as valuable today because of his lack of shooting range and while he was a solid defender, he was not a rim protector like AD and overall a much worse defender than him also.
But not by much. Malone needed Stockton to be effective. We don’t have a Stockton. I’ll take AD who’s better at creating his own shot.
AD vs PG is interesting too if you wanted to compare a new laker with a former laker great. I think they’re similar with AD being a little stronger but Pau with a slight edge in his offensive arsenal

I am pretty sure that anyone voting for Davis is even an extreme homer or never saw Karl play...! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

They’re actually pretty close
I sort of envision Pau and AD overlapping in terms of talent, with AD having the higher ceiling.
Pau is the kind of guy who will get you a consistent 20/10/3 every night and sometimes explode for 30/15. He'll show up in the playoffs and get you a chip if you put him next to a top 10 all-time player.
AD is the kind of guy who will get you a consistent 28/12/3 every night and sometimes explode for 40/20. Up until now we don't really know how he responds to high pressure playoff situations, but thus far it looks like he will probably (hopefully) find as much success as Pau did next to one of the GOATs.

Why not just one poll?
Who's the greatest all-around PF of all time?
AD, KG, TD, KM, DN, CB, KM, PG, SD, OF, LS,
EM, QI, XO, YM, LA, BD, ZU, RI, WJ, RW, DR,
MM, AK, YH, HB, MJ, JI
Who the hell are 1/2 these initials?
I'll try to decipher them as best i can.
AD= Brow
KG = Garnett
TD= Duncan
KM= Malone
DN = Dirk
CB = Barkley
KM (again) = Kenyon Martin?
PG = Gasol
SD, OF, LS, EM, QI, XO, YM, = ?
LA = Aldridge
BD, ZU, RI, WJ, RW, DR= ?
MM = Moses Malone
AK= Kirilenko?
YH, HB, MJ, JI= ?
Maybe YM and JI are Yao and Dr. J. But I haven't heard of either of them listed as PFs before. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
