Last year's Lebron's injury was not related to him playing a lot of minutes.

Both Bron and AD are averaging some of the lowest minutes per game of their careers. A few back-to-backs off here and there along with that should be enough to keep them fresh and ready for the postseason push.

Two schools of thought:

1) Get a big lead in the standings early and coast down the stretch. Every win in December is one less that you'll need to win in March,

2) Coast early & manage loads/stress/locker room mentality, then put together a late season run and let the momentum carry you into the playoffs.

Both styles have worked, but I prefer #1 because it is easier to sacrifice games late in the season when you have a lead in the standings, and players get rest closer to the playoffs.

Would the Raptors have won Game 7 vs Philly last year if the game had been played in Philly? How about the Lakers' Game 7 win over Boston in 2010 - does that happen if the game is in Boston?

The answers of course are, we don't know, but I'd rather have Game 7 at home.

Agreed.

Lakers have done an excellent job of beating inferior teams which is especially impressive with how teams have come out to play this season... even the absolute worst teams have been abnormally competitive in games against the best teams

Denver, Lakers and Rockets look like teams trying to lock up top 3 seeds. Imo the Clippers will try for a top 3 seed too unless they see Rockets or Mavs at #6.

Clippers and Lakers will look to avoid each other in a 1st round 4/5 matchup.

No one plays defense anymore so any team that happens to make their volume threes can beat any other, modern nba

That's why I really like how the Lakers play, we do not need to score 20 threes per game.

I think this whole "load management" (a term which became popular during last year with KL) is way overblown in many respects. I'm not disagreeing you want to keep players fresh as possible and avoid injuries / allow nagging minor ones to heal, but at that the same time:

1. LBJ: This is the lowest minutes he's played in his career so far. Yes, it's still relatively "alot", but it's just something to keep in mind.
2. "Load management" can also be accomplished by what the Lakers did last nite...blowouts. Problem is they are not doing that often, but if they can, then voila, mission accomplished.
3. KL: I believe he really is dealing with a true injury that can become dehabilitating if not managed properly, hence why he gets the true "load management".
4. Between LBJ and AD I'm currently more concerned about AD's shoulder, so perhaps he may be a candidate for a KL type of "load management"
