Would we have kept Wagner if we didn’t go after KL?

I can’t even remember who was available when we signed Cousins. Probably not much due to us letting Kawhi lead us on. We would have had more options earlier in FA.

Mo is playing great but he would not have necessarily been reliable in the playoffs when pressure is at maximum intensity. I'd rather have a vet that's been there before.

Admit I didn't see Wagner play this year, but I'm always careful with players putting good stats for one of the worst team in the league. Sure it's unfortunate we had to dump him for nothing (going after KL was worth the shot), but would he even be playing if he played for the Lakers ? Do we go after Dwight if we keep him ?

I doubt that we go after Cousins if we kept him

It would be unwise to piss off AD, Cousins wanted to be a Laker, and we had a need for a big with or without Wagner.

You're right that the Clippers didn't go after Dwight, but who knows where he ends up had the Lakers spurned his advances?

This is what it always comes back to...

"We could've had someone else!!1!11!"

"who?"

"I don't know but it coulda been someone!"

I've checked the FA list. If sorry ass Cory Joseph got $10M, and Satoransky got about the same, we should be kissing Rondo's feet and rubbing Caruso's bald spot right now. We literally could not have done better.

Don't look at his offensive numbers he is a fouling machine. Still not a great defender. Of everyone that left, Ingram is the one true talent.

George Hill was the only logical option, however when AB became available, one could argue the smaller commitment made to KCP still makes more sense. Hill got 3 years and $29M.

We really lucked into AB.

Personally, I'm more upset about letting Zubac go. 8.6 PPG and 6.8 RPG in 16.1 MPG.

He’s playing at an unsustainable level.

They have enough DNP players. He would never see minutes over Harrell, who is a much better player.

First player since Yao in 2002 to go 30 and 15 off the bench. He did it in 25 minutes. He's shooting 64% from the field and 47% from 3.

What's his defence like? IIRC it wasn't real good

i don’t mind who we have given up when we could have 2 of top 5 to top 10 players. It’s much much easy to get good role players than superstars, especially they are in top 5 to top 10

Howard is stronger and a more physical defensive player than Zubac, he was seen as a malcontent and this is why teams shied away from him. He'd take a few minutes from Zu and all of Patterson's.

But if the Clippers are investing in Zubac, that move could have long term benefits...just don't expect too much from Zu this year. He scores in an offensively challenged starting lineup, and most of his big scoring games still result in a negative +/- for him.

Had they had the foresight that our management had, they would’ve pursued him. We’re splitting minutes between Mcgee, Howard, and Davis.
They would’ve found plenty of minutes for Howard.

Moe Wagner leads the NBA, by a wide margin, in...

TS% (74.1%).

Crazy huh?

Are we sure? Robison looks like another JaVale while Wagner looks like a more agile Brook Lopez.

I was wrong about Wagner. I didn’t think he was a good pick, but he’s showing he can ball.

Everyone hated Wagner because they hated Magic. Simple enough. Some wanted Spellmen.

Wizards are 2nd in O-Rating and 30th in D-Rating according to Pete. Sounds like Wagner's kind of team TBH

Mitchell Robinson is at 74.2%, though I don't think TS% means much for players who don't even play half the game, let alone start.

For some reason, Basketball Reference doesn't recognize Robinson as the leader in this category.

Have you watched Robinson? Hes young and gets a lot of fouls but his floor is DeAndre Jordan
