derozan is awful and I can't believe some would entertain in wanting clarkson back lol

green may not be lighting up the stat sheet but his bbiq and help defense is paramount to the success we have had to this season so far

It was dangerous against Orlando. Lost to Milwaukee by 9, lost to a fully healthy Toronto by 7, so they haven't been playing like scrubs.

We need another ball handler. Everyone was getting stripped far too easily. We have Rondo but Rondo isn't consistent and has injuries.

One more ball handler

Caruso is that other ballhandler.

I don't see Danny as a negative player out there and I would seriously quit watching the team if we brought Clarkson back. Just no. He definitely needs to pick it up, I agree. Even back to his Spurs days he was very hit or miss when it came to consistent production.

Green's value will come in during the playoffs when you need that veteran experience to hit big shots.

Yeah, this is pretty much a par of the course season from him. He’s always had streaky shooting but his real value is his bbiq and team-defense which has been fantastic.

He may not be a super flashy heat check scorer, but he’ll be huge in the post-season when the game slows down even more.

This. I'm not at all concerned about Danny Green. He is a key player on this team and even if his shot isn't falling at the moment, his defense is still there.

I'd trade him..decent player but too inconsistent.
he's in the low 30s from 3 his last few post-seasons, 25% 2 years ago.

No chance they're going to mess with this team's chemistry unless we're getting much, MUCH greater value coming back.

what tangibly does Green do on the court that another solid player can't easily do? that's essentially calling him irreplaceable, while he's not even playing well; I don't think that's how a team improves, or hits it's ceiling.
playoffs comes down to making shots, playmaking, defending..Green his last 3 playoffs has only been solid at one of these..
I'm just going with the tangibility against great competition

Time to flip this sucka for Iggy. At least Iggy is expiring. I would even add kuzma in there for a few picks

LA gets: Iggy, first, second
Memphis gets: Green, Kuzma

Salaries match

Unless he's hitting his 3s, he's a liability due to his lack of ball-handling.

Green played some good defense on Butler, and against Kawhi on opening night he also played some good defense on him. I value him a lot, even when he does not hit the 3 regularly. He is our best bet to match up with elite wings, with Lebron taking the other wing. Caruso and Green should be the guys we trust to play defense against elite 2 and 3s in the NBA. They may be a bit undersized for 3s, but they still bother elite players. Having that combo of Green and Caruso at 2, with Bradley and KCP at the 1, we may have some of the best perimeter defense you will see in the NBA.

you guys think he's going to impede playoff-Kawhi? danny green aint that kinda defender.... Kawhi was simply off against him game 1. Green is neither tall, long, or athletic, nor in his prime....

No he will not stop Kawhi but when Kawhi went on KCP, he looked like he could drop 80 in 4 Qs. When Green was on him, he looked like he would drop 30 in 4. It is like for other teams with AD. Some guys who do not defend or match up at all with AD, AD can drop 40-50 on them. Others, 20-30. I think Green is a guy who in a playoff series with his defensive IQ and all the ability to switch and get help (and help others) on D, he will do well.

Today against Butler, again. When Green was on Butler, it looked like Butler was taking some tougher contested shots. Green's defensive stance and IQ are elite. He does not have the size or elite speed, but he makes up for it with his IQ and timing, IMO.

I’m not worried about Green, he knows when to bring his A game.

I don't think politically they would trade Green.
