I say maybe change them a bit. Still keep the classical Purple and Gold...but maybe add like more black and white to it or something...but what about the logo...you think they should change the Logo just a bit...like make it different from the basketball and L.A. Lakers to something still like that but different and cooler and stuff??? I don't really know this is just a thought or question and curiousity.... |

It's absolute blasphemy to say the Lakers should change their colors. It seems like a lot of people on this board only started following the Lakers this decade, therefore they don't have a full sense of our tradition. Even if you only started following them in the 1990s like me, you'll know that purple and gold defines the Lakers, just like how the pinstripes define the Yankees. The white Sunday unis are OK, but they wear them too much sometimes, and I'm really sick of the powder blue retro unis they wear.
But don't go back to the 90s style unis. They bring back bad memories for me, of the Shaq/Kobe teams that got swept every year in the playoffs and the overall turmoil we endured all through that decade. At least we won 3 straight titles in our current unis. Just keep those. Either that, or go back to the 80s unis with the short shorts, since the 80s flashback thing is big now, and maybe this team will start playing like the 80s Lakers if they wear their old unis.

Can we go back to the Forum? Clean the place up a bit, the Lakers would still make a ton of money even without the suites. At least we'd have our own arena again. |
