Will Los Angeles Lakers want to sign Lance Stephenson
Over his nine years in NBA, Stephenson played 508 games. He averaged a pretty ordinary 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. However, his numbers since going to China have seen a significant rise. Playing for Liaoning Flying Leopards, Stephenson has averaged 26.7 points (52 FG%) and 7.4 rebounds per game shooting 52 percent from field goals.
Coming back to the NBA, his numbers might not be as good as in China. But he might be a decent addition who can help in squad rotation. The Lakers have been looking for players to add to their depth to help them compete deep in the season. Whether Stephenson could be that addition remains to be seen.
In the only season with the Lakers, he averaged 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists playing16.5 minutes per game. If the Lakers do sign him this season, they will be expecting better numbers.

I was surprised he went to China as I thought he definitely could help an NBA team, especially as he matured a good amount.
I would take him in a heart beat over Rondo... better shooter and defender and would become the 2nd most capable player on this team after Lebron of being able to create his shot from the perimeter. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

That's a legit deal.. although would bringing him into that role this late be an issue
I think we are stuck with Rondo via pals with AD/Lebron |

Plus if backup playmaking is what we need (and it is), Rondo is much better than Lance. Warts and all. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

People keep talking about his play making but why does that matter if he has failed to actually elevate the lineups he is in?? He has the worst net impact of any player getting reasonable minutes on this team and our bench lineups do better overall without him. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Damn it, I'd sign him for the playoffs.
Dude can create his own shot, and can explode for 20 something points every given night.
And he's 6'6. Can bother people on defense.

We have too many guards and Lance is more of a
distraction than a player. Does he have his moments,
sure, but they're few; pass. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

I really thought they would have brought Lance in. Last year he was the poor man's fill in for LBJ. He can make plays for others and brings more size to the SG position than the team has. I wouldn't say no but not really sure how he would fit in at this point. |

Isn't Lance a couple inches taller and like 25 lbs heavier? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

the 2 biggest for this Lakers team are:
a wing defender
a secondary playmaker/scorer
Lance can fill both of those needs _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Beggars cant be choosers. Desperately Need a playmaker wing defender. He can give you a few minutes. He played ok last year with extended mins. |

This team could use another goon with the addition of Morris. The Lakers need some enforcers to smack Beverly around when he gets out of line. |

The question is, is he worth waiving Troy for? I don't have that answer. My gut says no though. |
