TBH I don't think I could handle Kobe's memorial. If it's televised I'm not sure I'd be able watch it in it's entirety. Hell, I'm misting just writing this.

I'm with you on that J. Even if I was still living in L.A. I don't think I could handle being there.

Obviously they went to local ticket agencies so they can charge 1000 times the price. That's what they always so. Scam artists...

There are actually a lot of tickets still available - I would expect that many of those currently on the waitlist will be given an opportunity to purchase tickets.

Not true my friend and I are both season ticket holders. There was supposedly a random draw for us. We both got it. He bought 2 tickets with his window yesterday. I got 2 tix today with my window at noon. There were a lot of tickets left. In mid section up. We got the Lower bowl

You won't be able to resale it so its pointless.

Same here...didn't bother. The LA Live memorial was enough for me.

This. Ticker buyer must be present and the tickets are NOT transferable.

I got 2

This is not the private one, so I assumed it was televised. I think KTLA is airing it as well as a few other channels.

It will be on all the local LA channels, and those local stations will be streaming it on their Youtube channels.

Speaking of the private one...

Lakers fans...Y'all need to fall back just a little bit.

https://247sports.com/Article/Kobe-Bryant-grave-flowers-left-wrong-gravesite-Pacific-View-Memorial-Park-Los-Angeles-Lakers-144049701/

Quote:
The continued mourning of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, and the enthusiasm of many to pay their respects, has created quite a problem for Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar, California - as well as one person now at rest there.

According to a report by Josh Peter of USA Today, flowers being left for Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna are being cleared out by Pacific View Memorial Park on a daily basis, as the private plot believed to be the last resting place of the Bryants actually belongs to another family. Kobe & Gianna Bryant, killed in a helicopter crash in late January, were reportedly laid to rest at the cemetery on February 7 in a private burial.

According to Hillary Davis of the Los Angeles Times, Pacific View Memorial Park - which has a number of celebrities among their internments - has a practice of not releasing burial sites to the public. But last week, the Daily Mail tabloid photographed an unmarked site they claimed to be Bryant's burial plot, citing the yellow and purple flowers that had been planted as well as heart rosaries indicative of the Bryant's Catholicism. This publication has attracted mourners and visitors who, while well-meaning, are ill-advised.

I did.

Got waitlisted and pretty bummed out because I've been working away about 12 hours a day for the past few weeks on an immensely intricate tribute artwork that I'd been planning to take with me. Part of me wanted to slow down my schedule (to have it done before Monday) and ease back know but I knew Kobe would have none of that, so I kept pushing through.

The next morning, I got taken off the waitlist and was able to score two mid level tickets (I really believe this was an assist from Kobe from up above) and it's my determined dream to be able to present it to the organization/fans/world somehow. If anyone can help me bring this goal to fruition, you can be my plus one (but send me a PM please).

That was the funeral for his family only.
This is the memorial for the public.

That sucks...when I got off the waitlist I got an error code like 20 times on various seats before one pair finally worked. I didn't know they're still releasing tickets / taking people off the waitlist. I wonder how the distribution all works.
